Justice Scalia: Guns May be Regulated!

Justice Scalia, the President Ronald Reagan appointed conservative who is considered (per Wikipedia) to be the intellectual anchor of the Court's conservative wing, is about to turn upon the Second Amendment.

Good article, Larry, keep'em comin. Most of the comments on that article were very pro, pure second ammendment. Gotta take it all one day at a time these days.

Buy all you can afford now & lock them away. When they start coming for your guns, things are gonna get ugly around here fast.

wow!!, you folks are paranoid. scalia hinted, that maybe some of the larger weapons,( weapons of Mass destruction) that by the way, were not yet invented, even thought up, let alone in mass production when your coveted 2nd amendment was written, should be re considered, by level heads, which excludes the nut cases.

At the time of the writing of the constitution, private parties owned battleships.

Homecomfort, you miss the point of the second amendment. It is to be part of the checks and balances against out of control government. If you work for restrictions on civilian "arms" you are just making it easier for a fascist police state to take total control over everyone's life. Please, look at history. Yes, individuals will do stupid things but the greatest mass murders are perpetrated by GOVERNMENTS.

If you want a peaceful world outlaw sociopaths. (edit: Read this line with a hint of sarcasm. I know there is no responsible way to do so. Twisted people are part of the human condition and we are stuck with them. They have to be dealt with individually if they prey on others. I don't believe we will ever have a truly peaceful world. Making the greater society easier to victimize isn't the answer.)
