Where are the Perp Walks?

According to a new report by the Government Accountability Institute:

Under Bill Clinton there were more than 1,000 prosecutions for bank and security fraud. Under Bush there were more than 1,300.

The Bush administration task force “obtained over 1,300 corporate fraud convictions, including those of over 130 corporate vice presidents and over 200 CEOs and corporate presidents.”

“Clinton’s DOJ prosecuted over 1,800 S&L [savings and loans] executives, senior officials, and directors, and over 1,000 of them were sent to jail.”

Under Obama, in the aftermath of the biggest financial meltdown in history, at a time when the average family's net worth has dropped 40%, when the lies and corruption are stacked one on each other like the sediment in the Grand Canyon – there have been a grand total of zero banking and CEO prosecutions.

Ohh no nooo, Barry's the everyday man of the people! Just ask Blago, ohh, he's currently unavailable. Ask Tony Rezko, ohh, he's away. Ask George Soros, oops too busy in a clandestine meeting.

How could he find time with his 100 fundraisers in the last 6 months. That's also why he just can't find time to meet with his jobs council. And it's a complicated and time consuming task to continue the open border policy against the will of the silly American people. :D

Fined?

So steal a few billion and give back a few million to avoid jail?

Nice work if you can get it.

What do you expect, the houses are filled with millionaire lawyers making the laws that protect millionaires. If they do go to jail it's a Country Club Jail, nothing like what you or I would go to, you have to accept the fact that they are protected by the laws that they paid for & take what you can get. Or you can throw your hands up & say fines so what lets throw them in their jail if there is proof or not. That will just end up costing tax payers more all the while they are ripping us off even more from a tax payer provided Country Club Jail.

So what's your beef Sam?

You throw up your hands at your elected officials screwing you daily, but have no compunction about giving me both barrels for attempting to get another education so I can go pay more taxes.

You really have some screwed up priorities.

Jpete, I have never said anything about your getting a education at tax payer expense being such a bad thing. It's when you do nothing but bad mouth the whole system while taking advantage of it, if you were a man of conviction you would refuse Gov. help. You want to go back in time but yet keep everything that that time & all those before you sweat & bled for & then you want to be the deciding voice of what the FF meant. I'm sure that you have said some good things about our country but you have said so many negative things that the good becomes a mute point if there were any. I've known a lot of people with a lot of different views but none like you, ain't saying I disagree totally with everything you say but you never seem to offer anything but to want go back in time to fix everything.

No YOU said I want to go back in time.

There's no reason we can't fix things moving forward.

But as long as we nibble around the edges while we spin down the drain, then nothing much matters.

Why can't we change monetary policy? Why can't we reduce spending?

I talk about a lot of things and you always find a way to criticize them.

Maybe I'm not the problem here Sam.

You keep waving the flag and talk about how we can't change anything. See how that works for you.

I don't recall you ever saying anything much about moving forward before unless you added that we should do what we did in 1913 (I believe) as a starting point. Sure there are many things we could start with but they all take a bit of co-operation & time. You could change things fast but probably not without the trouble we see overseas, welfare & other programs have to be greatly reduced along with military spending. Why is it we use our money to rebuild countries we destroyed while ours falls apart? That would be a hell of a good place to start but it's been tried & never voted on, one man can't do it, it takes both sides & when both are so far apart & refuse to move when in reality they know what needs to be done it ain't gonna happen. All I say is to look at things with an open mind & then decide instead of letting some talking head decide for you.

Sam, I don't know what "talking head" you are referring to, but I assure you, I watch no network news nor do I read much printed news.

I do have quite a sizable library however.

I make references to the Federal Reserve because that is the root of the problem as I see it.

Republicans like warfare, democrats like welfare. Both need the cover of the Fed to continue to buy the people's votes with their own money.

I'd be more than happy to cut overseas spending. It would be a good start.

You say one man can't do it but when a guy like Ron Paul comes along, you find all kinds of reasons to cut him down.

I love it.

Even if we got a Ron Paul or some other like him he would never have the political muscle to set things right. I think that will only come after a collapse.

So then why bother voting at all?

If the POTUS can't move things in the right direction, what's the point?

God forbid you ever post on how grateful you are to have your own American Dream out there in the country where it's still America. But don't worry, Obama's coming for you too.

Your absolutely right Jpete, when RP highly suggests that he was drafted & served as a flight surgeon when he wasn't & didn't then yes I'm gonna call him on it. When the low class liar that he is claims to have voted against all these bills while adding his own earmarks to the ones that he knew would pass I'm gonna call it what it is. All I'm saying is it takes a POTUS with co-operation from both houses to get things done, maybe you should read up to date things & see how Congress has done just about nothing & has the lowest approval rating in History, some are even getting out of that easy high paying & even higher graft getting job rather than put up with the BS.
