If the pics with the tape demonstrate what you're getting in the ash bin, you need more air - that's all coke.

See how easy it is when somebody else does something. The secret is to always let somebody else do it.

Damn! That is a very nice setup. Your coal is 1/2 mile away from the boiler? How do you plan on keeping debris and such out of that coal? How does it drain?

Bought a couple of heavy duty tarps to keep the trash out, the trough drains toward the front..

Berlin, I will give it more air and cut the feed rate a little at a time, then give it a few hours to stabilize.
