New Thermostat

I have a Harmon automatic feeder and would like to upgrade to a digital programmable/non-programmable thermostat. Has anyone out here made that switch and any recommendations would be great as to what kind you have.

As long as it a standard 24VAC type thermostat, most Digitals one will work. I wouldn't use the setbacks, it takes too long for the coal to respond and probably overshoot it when it starts really cranking. I just leave mine on a certain temp, and let it run.
I have a standard LUX from Valu home centers on my Keystoker. it works fine. However, some have a loud relay in them to turn the stove/furnace on/off, some people don't like that loud clicking.
