Oh the Irony...Germany to Build 23 new Coal Fired Power Plan

They embraced to false promise of Alternative Energy sustaining a Power Grid needed for ecomonical Electricy for Industrial use as well as for it's population. Freedom is tied directly to these two things...which is why this administration needs to go, they watched Spain's green model implode, now Germany and these dolts never take a hint!

It sounds like Germany has woken up to the fact that coal fired electrical plants work, and wind and solar plants do not. The former is also far less expensive. Good for them. When will we wake up?

Germany was almost entirely atomic power same type as Japan & us for that matter, they decided it wasn't worth the risk.

I know, I never understood how such clean, reliable and effecient Atomic energy power plants in the US, killed less people than Ted Kennedy and still has a stigma attached to it.

That's one of the big differences between how some think, they think that a disaster could happen there & we think it would never happen to us. We were extremely lucky with 3 Mile Island, Waltz Mills & that one that shut down in Virginia (I believe) when we had an earthquake a year or two ago. We still have no where to store waste, after billions spent for Yucca Mountain it's still all on site at the reactors. Everything gets old & shows age, once hot there isn't much that can be done to upgrade parts of facilities, even with Germany shutting down there reactors they will still have the waste & just the opposite of fossil fuels which will run out the nukes will keep increasing so they have to use some of everything & searching for alternatives.

Again, maybe, could, but never happened is a reason to destroy advanced humanity.

Isn't the reason we our doing all this space exploration--Mars & the like--to find a suitable atmospherte for possible habitation--probably friggin NOT--but some of the "BRAINIACS" have mentioned it would be a nice neighborly thing to dump some of our unwanted stuff there-----the hell I say???

German industry told the Gov if they can't get reliable power they will move
all heavy manufacturing out of the country. Solar and wind don't run steel mills
or high tech chip plants. They need reliable constant voltage power not some up
and down feel good bullchips. If a home owner wants off the grid fine, but industry
needs power.
