You'll need ID to prove your DEM., but NOT to vote ....

PostBy: SMITTY On: Tue Sep 04, 2012 12:12 pm

In another chapter of strange liberal logic, we have this:

The democrats cry & jump up and down in a temper tantrum when you mention voter ID laws ..... but ... you will need an ID to enter the DNC. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm .... :gee:

I seriously hope most Americans can see right through this warped way of thinking, and into their true intentions: they want dead pets, & dead humans, ETC .. voting democrat this election. They know that no normal thinking individual will vote democrat, and have to resort to cheating to get their way. So pathetic ..

There's a long history of putting obstacles in the way of "undesirable" voters. When I was in my teens, "literacy tests" were still administered to the Black folk but the Whites were exempted on "reasonable" grounds. If you had a PhD in History you MIGHT pass the test. Check Wikipedia.

The current GOP love for voter ID is just the latest twist on an old game. My state of Maine has it well in hand -- see link:

I heard the GOP is going to push for voter rights for homeowners only, that way they can vote several times each. That is if they can remember how many homes they actually own.

Does it ever enter a Liberal Democrat's head that some people would rather be citizens rather than subjects?

Since someone brought voter rights. Why is it that someone that pays no taxes has the right to vote? "No taxation, without representation" Why is it the people that sit around doing nothing get to vote. Ofcourse all the dead beats are going to vote for whoever is going to give them the most.

I'm trying to stay away from the politics section like an alcoholic needs to stay away from bars. :D I'll just have one little shot of whiskey here.

Bob, your dems want to let anybody vote, citizen, no citizen, Mexican, anything with a pulse. Do you have any sense of national pride at all? I'm sure your neck of the woods isn't overwhelmed with illegals and their anchor babies yet; so you just can't understand the urgent need to enforce existing laws.

There's a whole third world of hungry illegals out there, they all want to be here.

PS, I just saw Jimmah Cartah endorse O/B. The second worst pres endorsing the worst. You applaud, we can't believe the liberal insanity. :)

Bob

Republicans are NOT the ones screaming racism & throwing a fit over voter ID. Democrats are. So your statements are dead in the water.

You need to show a license to enter a CLUB ... or a CONCERT .... or to go FISHING or HUNTING. I had to show my bank my ID to get a RECEIPT for paying my mortgage!!!

SO why on earth would we not require that people show ID when voting??????? Common sense isn't it???

I'll tell you why dems want no part of this: it's because, like I said before, they know for a fact that no normal, rational person will vote for them. They have to cheat & steal in order to even have a chance. It worked last time .. but their days are numbered and they know it.

I just recently realized that this explains how dems got a stranglehold on MA politics. I knew the people here weren't THAT brainwashed. I've met far more conservatives that share my views in and around the state than liberals, yet libs always get elected. When your dog, cat, rabbit, and your great-great-great grandfather that died in 1877 vote, then democrats win hands down. How can they not?

Voter ID eliminates that on BOTH sides. You want a fair election, don't you? Without a fair election, we're finished as a nation.

Everybody pays taxes, sales tax, fuel tax..... business taxes are just expenses passed onto consumers.

No. As I said, voter ID is the latest twist on an old game. I simply used the Jim Crow laws restricting voting, as an example of rules that favor one group over another. Those laws lasted a mere 100 years or so. Now the GOP target is the elderly, the poor, and college students -- people who tend to vote Democratic, but who sometimes find it difficult to get the required ID. For example, take a student from Kansas attending college in Colorado. Should he be allowed to vote in a federal election? His driver's license is from Kansas. He can't show a Colorado tax bill or electric bill or pay slip. So if those are the acceptable forms of ID in Colorado, his choice is to travel back to Kansas to vote, or to not vote. It is pretty obvious, from some GOP-backed regulations, that the intent is exactly that: to keep college students from voting.

An no, I'm not implying that the Jim Crow laws were a purely Republican idea. And no, I have no idea what the actual rules are in Kansas or Colorado -- just the first two state names that came to mind.

How will you measure "doing nothing"? A stay-at-home mother, living in an apartment, has no income, pays no income tax, owns no real estate, pays no property tax. Does she get to vote or not?

I don't know where all you people have been voting all these years, I have moved several times over the years & have always had to change my registration information. I can now walk in & they know my name & have the page that my name is on already opened up simply because they know the people that vote in the only voting place in my Township. That I guess will all be changed now, sure in a big city one might be able to slip into a polling place that they know where a recently deceased person lived but if not known they would then still have to show ID. I just have never lived in an area where you could just walk into a polling place & tell them my name, sign the book, & then vote. I would see much more chance of voter fraud with absentee ballots or a fix on the machines. In the past wasn't there a case where some old style machines that worked for years in some areas all of a sudden didn't have the ability to cleanly punch a hole in a card, now if there were ever a chance of wide spread fraud in my lifetime that would have been it.
