PC Madness: The Racist Peanut Butter Sandwich

Verenice Gutierrez picks up on the subtle language of racism every day.

Take the peanut butter sandwich, a seemingly innocent example a teacher used in a lesson last school year.

“What about Somali or Hispanic students, who might not eat sandwiches?” says Gutierrez, principal at Harvey Scott K-8 School, a diverse school of 500 students in Northeast Portland’s Cully neighborhood.

“Another way would be to say: ‘Americans eat peanut butter and jelly, do you have anything like that?’ Let them tell you. Maybe they eat torta. Or pita.”

Seriously? Let's consider this for second:

Americans eat peanut butter and jelly,

Who is the one being divisive here? We can assume these aren't all the children of illegals so why would this person separate them to begin with? People are *censored* idiots.

She is proud her school is at the bottom.

Teaching is an art like any other and those with inborn teaching talent will do well. Schools would do better to hire talented High School graduates rather than college bred drones.

The excellent teachers I remember were very individual and different in their approach. It would be hard to detect any general rule that made them exceptional other than how effective they were. Strict guidelines and micro managing only kill off that individual spark.

If you want to not learn something open a school text book, usually designed by committee.

This is the culmination of all the child safety laws over the years. In the good old days they were removed from the gene pool via natural selection. We are so concerned with “the children” today that even idiots like this survive into adulthood.

Yeah when I saw this story on The Blaze I sort of knew what to expect. Typical left-wing hysteria with no basis in reality. With that line of thinking, that school will REMAIN at the BOTTOM.

She also started a Drum session club for "Blacks Only" in the school and when she was met with anger by other parents on Non-Whites she never backed down but said if it was for white kids nobody would have had a problem with it.

Yes, she still has a job.

I don't know Smitty, lets see just for starters there seems to be con hatred towards gays, latinos, blacks, definatly Muslems, womans rights & any & all Gov. involvement in anything but defense. I can see why you wouldn't want to do anything but increase the defense budget but naturally without taxes.

You just disproved your point. Your response proves that the sandwich issue is indeed a leftist thing. You also proved the point about leftists collecting everyone who isn't white or male into a victimhood club by your own admission. A charge that leftist haters always deny. But now that I'm done with that, besides your usual intelligent well thought out reply why is it then that the cons only seem interested in the upper income groups & then to shun & outwardly vote laws in that would directly be against take for instance gay rights & a woman's right to choice of her own body & well being?

Because both of those social issues are a slap in the face to GOD.

Really Sam, What are you talking about?What income group "hates GAYS"? What income group HATES WOMEN..or Womens rights to birth control?
