There was a time where you got Co. vouchers for the Co. store & lived in a Co. house, if you died of got killed on the job & had no male child old or big enough to take over the fathers job the family was evicted. You really think that in this day & age Co.s would pay a fair wage? Like I said when times were good everyone allowed both labor & management to get too powerful & just pass on increases in price or tax, now in bad times it comes back to haunt but the cost of living never seems to come down.
It stops when government unions have no right to strike. Has nothing to do with unions in private industry. Monopoly by either labor or management are equally bad. Both lead to abuse. In private industry when labor costs get too great it can no longer compete, it goes out of business or moves overseas. In effect the union loses when jobs disappear. There is no such pressure with government unions. Fire them if they strike. We don't need socialist swine teaching our children.
