Holy CRAP is it POURING out there right now!! The rain gauge just read 7.20" PER HOUR. It's slowed to 4.46" ....but now back up to over 6"! Been like this for the past 20 minutes. Can hear it pelting the windows & roof! Lost satellite reception .. and it's not coming back with rain this heavy.

Figures ... was supposed to start the barn roof today. Should have an nice flood inside after this one!

Sounds like you guys got it worse than we did. We had decent winds, but nothing earth-shattering -- think one gust hit 26. We've had much higher here, even though we're sheltered by a 100' foot hill right behind us. I expected the power to go out from all the news reports today - it usually does out here. Looks like '10 & '11 fixed that with all the flooding, hurricanes, tornadoes, & freak blizzards -- there isn't a dead tree left that hasn't already been wiped out!

Either that or the power company finally spent the money & fixed things the right way ... :)

Yeah big time - was 95% here all day. Even though it was only 64° this morning it felt like it was 80°. Made my barn feel like an icebox walking in there this morning. Was 62° in there, but probably 55% humidity. What a difference!

I'll bet this crap is headed your way Jim! :o

The wind roared last night, but the lights stayed on. I hope the wind didn't knock too many apples on the ground, but I will see when the sun comes up. I don't think it rained very much here, just a few small puddles outside.

Guess it was just a quick blast here. We got just under 1.4" ... but a large percentage of that came down in a 30 minute span. Everything's dryin' up this morning.

Time to do some roofing! :|

Good luck with the roof! You will feel great when it's done!

I cleared the gutters here two days ago; the wind came up; and yesterday afternoon I heard it was gonna pour.
Stepped outside just in time to see a very small oak branch hit the Ranger side mirror :D As if nature was sayin', " I can wreck your truck any time I feel like it!" :D
Cleared the gutters AGAIN, glad I did. Two damn poplar leaves will plug a 60' gutter. I have to finish getting screens on the house, I'm gonna wear the shingles out!

Yeah, we were in a Tornado warning for a couple hours, from that storm. I've never seen rain fall so hard. It rained all day, but came down in buckets from around 2:00pm to 5:30pm.
I had to run out with a big umbrella to get the kids from the bus stop. Not fun.
