The 6 tons of anthracite coal I got is a mixture of stove and egg size and the Glenwood No. 8 loves it. The burn time and heat output is incredible.
I heated my house for the last 12 years with a wood pellet stove and this antique coal stove is 10 times cleaner to burn. There is hardly no dust in the house compared to the pellet stove. I should have gone with coal 12 years ago.

I talked to Doug at Barnstable about a week ago, and he said that he has a waiting list for Glenwoods as well as any other Base Heater he can get his hands on. It's the same with Emery at the Antique Stove Hospital.

Have any of your skeptical friends and neighbors made any comments about your stove?

Hi William,
Since we installed the No.8 we have had a couple of "shindigs" and everyone is amazed at the stove's beauty, quality, design, and craftsmanship. Once we tell them how efficient and clean burning it is, they are in awe. People find it hard to believe that I can heat my house to 76+* F and pay so much less than every other heating source. I have had a couple of family members come over and they were expecting our house to be black and full of creosote. There is such a misconception about heating with anthracite. Thank you for all your coal and heating tutelage.

I think there is a trend in the works as well, but do you think it will eventually price the stoves out of reach for a lot of people? Like Steve said, supply and demand...
