Obama care,Death panels

Former Obama administration advisor Steven Rattner " car czar" recently had a op/ed article in "The New Times" on Sept.,17th titled "Beyond Obama care". In it he states that medicare and our society will not be able to cope with the cost of health care and that the only way it will work is with rationed care. The truth comes out they are going to let grandma die! Can we say I told you so now?

Our nations total of funded (on the books) and unfunded (off the books) public debt plus all known private debt now stands at $222 trillion per Boston University Economist Laurence Kotlikoff. That is a full 15 times the GDP of the USA, and roughly 3.5 times the GDP of the entire world. And on top of that there are somewhere between $600 to $1,000 trillion in financial derivative time bombs ready to go off. These figures are well beyond any hope of repair without collapsing the US Dollar to zero value and starting over, leaving everyone who is not holding gold or silver or land that is free and clear of any encumbrance with nothing.

No wonder that Steven Rattner states that our society will not be able to cope with the cost of health care. That is actually a very serious understatement.

Anyone that believes that crap is too lazy to look things up for themselves, just where does it say anything close to that? For decades doctors were supposed to have The Talk with loved ones of any terminal patients but they usually had the nurse do it, besides think about how much they make just by stopping in a room of someone that they can do nothing for, sign the chart & bill the insurance is the name of that game.

Yeah well now the name of the game is put a beaurocrat between you and your doctor. Obama wants Washington to completely control every aspect of our lives. You can't see it now , you never could, you never will. you have a tough job with all the forum members posting all the continuous Obama outrages more and more; we still don't agree or believe your ever increasing leftist viewpoint. At least you are halfway civil about it most of the time unlike your few leftist buddies here.

Stopping by the room to get a charge was the name of the game for my Dad's Cardiologist. He used to race down the hall with his cart and binder at the time 2004. Later Dad died and he was soo in touch with his patients he asked my mother how Dad was doing and she informed him he had DIED! Really what kind of crap is that

Did you actual look up the article and read it "samhill' or are you just to lazy. It's in black and white.Thats all you got is that the article is full of it. I must of hit on something. I also see where Rattner also got himself in hot water in some kind of kickback scandal in New York. That's when he stepped down as "car czar". Go figure another Obama advisor caught doing something wrong! Read the Article!

Plumb, what's it say that indicates that they are going to let grandma die suffering from an ailment from which there is no recovery or chance of getting better? Would you(not wishing anything for anybody) want to lie in a vegetative state hooked up to life support for months or in some cases years rather than a plug being pulled, I know I wouldn't. Get that "grandma" out of your head for a second, it can happen to anyone at anytime, what is Ryan's idea give a *K voucher(last Amt. I heard) that doesn't cover two months medication for some. What happens after that do they wheel you out to the parking lot & call the family? Believe it or not everybody doesn't have or can afford H.I., what happens to those that work but have none, they won't even get a voucher, easy for someone living off the tax payer & having a cadillac plan to say how they are going to fix it for those that have nothing.

The advsiory panel of 15 "Appointed" people who answer to NO ONE, will decide if the cost to benefit analysis works in the governments best interest.

So little peons like you and me Sammie who need hip replacement surgery at 85yrs old will in most likelyhood be given pain medication to ease suffering and turned down while a well connected person who knows "people" will get signed off with no problems.

To think otherwise is not only nieve, but a danger to himself and others.

You forgot about being appointed by both parties of Congress & being confirmed by a majority of the senate & Congress not being bound if they can find a better way.
There again you are probably right, so far I am lucky enough to still have H.I. & I would much rather have a clerk of the Ins. Co. decide what is best for me & the Ins. Co. than a panel of experts because I know that all Ins. Co. s have nothing but the welfare of their members in mind no matter what the costs. That's why our H.C. costs have stayed relatively the same for many decades. (sarcasm alert is ON)
