Couldn't close Gitmo because they wouldn't allow him to put them in our prison system, can't try them because they have been tortured. Can't do a lot of things without Congress, if Romney gets in you really think the Dems aren't gonna do the same if they can? The Congress would have failed if Obama gets back in & he'll be a lame duck, they will be more worried about their approval rating & getting re-elected & hopefully start doing their job on both sides. Neither side is perfect but I can even do simple math & Romney don't add up. He wasn't a business man he was a Corp. raider & made sure he made money either way, he took a bail out for Bain & the Olympics & then took credit for one & lies about the other. Even hides his money in off shore investments, has interests in China, his big claim is Staples, how many decent full time jobs with HC do they have? Too many questions & no answers, still hasn't produced tax proof.

Does that include the ones he loaded up with debt, extracted all the money and then closed the doors?

Where is the documentation for this? I have heard this over and over. I have looked and never found.

Congrats Jeff, you hate people who generate wealth through investing their own money into failing business and profiting.
You and Sammie have alot more in common than I thought...you're both Leftists rooting for the fall of Capital Investment and Free Markets.

I found this one fairly quickly. Don't know if there were others. I'm not that interested.
Through Ampad, Bain bought several other office supply makers, borrowing heavily each time. By 1999, Ampad's debt reached nearly $400 million, up from $11 million in 1993, according to government filings.
Sales grew, too - for a while. But by the late 1990s, foreign competition and increased buying power by superstores like Bain-funded Staples sliced Ampad's revenues.
The result: Ampad couldn't pay its debts and plunged into bankruptcy. Workers lost jobs and stockholders were left with worthless shares.

Total federal handouts. The $1.5 billion in taxpayer dollars that Congress is pouring into Utah is 1 times the amount spent by lawmakers to support all seven Olympic Games held in the U.S. since 1904—combined. In inflation-adjusted dollars.
Romney himself lobbied Congress for a $12.7 million handout to cover the overtime pay of local police during the games. In defending the request for federal dollars, Romney said: "This is one last piece of the public-safety puzzle. You can't have the complete chain if you take out a couple of links."
