Lay off the Kool-aid Sam.

"hiding money offshore"? and you've proof he is braking Tax Laws? You didn't mention Ms. Pelosi's offshore investments, hrmmm. I get it, liberals are allowed to do anything, like Kerry, Gore etc..all richer than god and yet haven't created any wealth but their own.

Romney is just a Corp. Raider? HAHAHA, jesus Sam you really are just a Kos Kid with no orginal thought process but plenty to blab about.

Here's a hint , you know the Steel Mill that Mitt shut down ( of course he didn't it was after he left and it was a Dem bundler for Obama that did ) and killed that guys wife by using his all powerful Mormon wickedness, that Plant was due to close, it was going under fast.

Mitt's Company went in and kept it open for 9 more yrs....yes 9yrs instead of closing and leaving those without a job in1993. If the average salary was 40K that's $360,000 they never would have recieved.

I think Mitt and companies like his should never be allowed to operate, just let these Failing business' go down in flames and take their lousy employees with them....Right Sam? OH, that's right I forgot...it's only OK if the Gov'nt bails them out on our dime and at a LOSS. You're just soooo Smart.

Couldn't close Gitmo because they wouldn't allow him to put them in our prison system, can't try them because they have been tortured. Can't do a lot of things without Congress, if Romney gets in you really think the Dems aren't gonna do the same if they can? The Congress would have failed if Obama gets back in & he'll be a lame duck, they will be more worried about their approval rating & getting re-elected & hopefully start doing their job on both sides. Neither side is perfect but I can even do simple math & Romney don't add up. He wasn't a business man he was a Corp. raider & made sure he made money either way, he took a bail out for Bain & the Olympics & then took credit for one & lies about the other. Even hides his money in off shore investments, has interests in China, his big claim is Staples, how many decent full time jobs with HC do they have? Too many questions & no answers, still hasn't produced tax proof.

Sentence 1: He knows how to work on our energy independance unlike the marxist and his fool Chu who has stated he wants to raise prices. Academic.
Sentence 2: How's that Obama / Clinton foreign policy goin for ya?
Sentence 3 &4: Obama is inept at anything bipartisan due to his far left ideology and lack of leadership skills. Even Clinton moved toward the center.
Sentence 5: Do some simple math on the foodstamp numbers, the deficit under Obama, the % of college grads that can't find jobs.
Sentence 6: He wasn't a businessman. Okaaaay
Sentence 7: BS
Sentence 8: So do many dems but it's legal, they do it to avoid absurd regulations that drive money out of the country.
You are a hater of success. Good luck with that.
Sentence 9: Topic is The Debate. Funny I heard a lot of answers, he provided the legal requirement; and his 14% rate was on capital gains, not individual. 2nd bite out of the apple but the dumb masses ride along with the class warfare.

You still got nuthin'.

Romney is probably not some one I would sit down and share a drink with ( He can have a water ). The big difference is Obama just plain scares the hell out of me and I don't scare easily. I am usually pretty laid back but I really mean it I am truthfully scared of 4 more yrs of the clown. I don't think it would take that long before we would be done.

Point is, the companies were failing when he arrived, and were in the blue when he left. What happened after he left doesn't count.

I found this one fairly quickly. Don't know if there were others. I'm not that interested. :)

Like I said, alot of Libertarians are so far Left they've come full circle and in actuality embrace Communism (of course their to blind to see it).

Congrats Jeff, you hate people who generate wealth through investing their own money into failing business and profiting.

You and Sammie have alot more in common than I thought...you're both Leftists rooting for the fall of Capital Investment and Free Markets.

Here's a job you could enjoy, how a bout's being Chaffees shoe shine boy, hell you both share the same politcal views.

The problem is you didn't read the whole article. Ampad was going to fail anyway because of outside factors. That looks like poor timing on investments.

I don't want to make this personal to anyone. But from my views we are in big trouble with the current administration. If someone doesn't like Romney because he has money and has profited from other people that just confuses me. We should not buy coal then because I hear the coal mining companies are making a lot of money from us. We should be buying natural gas I hear some of those companies are struggling with the low prices and the huge investments made to find and extract the gas that drove the prices down in the first place. Now that's Irony.

I guess either way this thread is about the Debate. Romney 1 , Nobama 0

You're so busy hurling insults, you forgot to notice we don't live in a free market and haven't in at least 100 years.

Where have I said I "hate" anyone or anything?

I deal in facts, not emotions.

Tell me again how taking a loan from Goldman Sachs is Mitt using his own money?

But Smitty said "EVERY ONE" of the companies Bain took over came out a winner. Well clearly that isn't true.

I don't expect them all to be winners. It's illogical to think they will be. But the way Bain did it ensured THEY always won.

Through Ampad, Bain bought several other office supply makers, borrowing heavily each time. By 1999, Ampad's debt reached nearly $400 million, up from $11 million in 1993, according to government filings.

Sales grew, too - for a while. But by the late 1990s, foreign competition and increased buying power by superstores like Bain-funded Staples sliced Ampad's revenues.

The result: Ampad couldn't pay its debts and plunged into bankruptcy. Workers lost jobs and stockholders were left with worthless shares.

So unlike some people assert, Mitt didn't use HIS money. Ampad borrowed the money until they couldn't afford to pay it back anymore and then went belly up.

Not a nickel of Mitt's money was ever on the line.

I think he's a genius for mastering the game of "Heads I win, tails you lose" and apparently he's also a master of convincing people he took his own money out of his own pocket and did all this stuff. Nothign could be further from the truth but the "Anybody but Obama" crowd is too willfully ignorant to see it.

I guess he cut the check for the Salt Lake City Olympics too right? :no2:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/ ... /index.htm

Total federal handouts. The $1.5 billion in taxpayer dollars that Congress is pouring into Utah is 1 times the amount spent by lawmakers to support all seven Olympic Games held in the U.S. since 1904—combined. In inflation-adjusted dollars.

http://deadspin.com/5945741/you-built-t ... e-olympics

Romney himself lobbied Congress for a $12.7 million handout to cover the overtime pay of local police during the games. In defending the request for federal dollars, Romney said: "This is one last piece of the public-safety puzzle. You can't have the complete chain if you take out a couple of links."

Yup. Allll his hard earned money. LOL. You guys kill me!
