Of course regulations are needed. I think you missed the point romney was trying to make, that republicans are not averse to regulations that foster a free market, unlike Obama./

Neither am I. The Constitution founded the worlds greatest free market. Regulations (left, right, or otherwise) and a phony monetary system subsequently destroyed it.

How does one regulate a "free" market?

As soon as government puts its thumb on the scale, it's no longer a free market.

The only regulations required of a free market are those that a court system applying properly blind justice based squarely upon objective law provide. When someone is wronged, honest courts are required to heel the wrong and bring justice. The Constitution provided for such justice. That is where the playing field is leveled. Not by Congressional mandates or Executive Orders or redistribution of the wealth.

Prevention of monopoly for one. Surely you believe banks need to be regulated and also stock markets. How about doctors and lawyers? Financial planners. Weights and measures.

Empty words. Or at best very shallow ones. I can't imagine any establishment chosen Republican or Democrat using mention of the Constitution or the Declaration for more than deceitful lip service.

For example, if Romney wasn't paying more than mere lip service to the Constitution, he would read the part about only gold and silver being legal tender, and he would immediately see the fraud and deception that are inherent in the Federal Reserve System and its backed by nothing FRN's.

Then as he perused the Bill Of Rights he would likewise see the fraud and deception in the TSA, Homeland Security, the Patriot Act, the NDAA, etc... and he woudl be against these, but he is for them.

Alas, he is only paying lip service.

Go up a few posts and read Larry's post right after mine. I won't repeat what he has already said better than I usually can.

As to monopoly, what's wrong with that if they are giving you the product you want at the price you want to pay?

The reason monopoly gets a bad name is because it usually devolves to fascism where the business owner buys the government to put up barriers to entry for other people.

So it is again bad government that is the problem putting its thumb on the scale of the "free market".

In a truly free market, anyone could go into business and if they can do a better/cheaper job than you, then they will succeed and you will fail.

I've seen what BO has done over the past 4 years, talk about if you can't dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your bullshit, and I think we owe someone else the opportunity to do something different with, for example, all the things listed above. Understand--I'm not a mind reader, I just feel that MR is more focused & interested in where this Country is going.
