Don't know that one for sure on the national level, in locals it's the # of signatures you have. That's how Ventura got on for Gov., I would guess that if the tea party would have backed someone else then they could have gotten on but that's just a guess but you can write in anybodies name, I think Mickey Mouse gets quite a few votes.

Like what was posted earlier, Mitt will atleast put the brakes on and slow down our death spiral. Jeff, ideology aside, Obama with no reason to back off anything will revert to his Pastor, his mentor Ayers the put the pedal to the metal. That's why this is crucial.

I will say this, if Mitt looses then you can be sure Republican party will cease to exsist except as a minority party.

That's just what we need a third party. Right now we have half the population that hates who's in charge. With Three partys you'll have 2/3rds of the country who hates who's in office. At one time I could have gone Tea party then they picked Ron Paul to run. A lot of his ideas are just to far out there,and flat out wouldn't work. Romney or Bust!

Everyone attacks Romney and Ryan by saying they will destroy SS and Medicare. But how is destroying our dollar and spending outside our means as a country going to protect it. I was never a huge Romney supporter but my opinion is he will be a lot better for us than the current admin. I just cant see a person with no business experience running our country when he already has proven he cant even establish a budget we can sustain. Over 3yrs so far with no budget proposed or in place is scarey. Romney Ryan 2013

How is SS "our" dollar, there is plenty in the fund & it was all paid for & used for other things. Now they figure if they can do away with it in X amt. of years that's a few trillion they can claim they paid off, what everyone forgets is that most of the debt is owed to ourselves. The problem is if there is a dollar anywhere Congress thinks it can spend a thousand. It's all been going on for decades so now we're finally coming to the end of that road that they all kicked the can down, why not eliminate the lifetime salaries, unbelievable pensions with totally free HC that they all get to save a few bucks.

It seems to me that if you qualify to be on the ballot in all 50 states you should be in the debates. Gary Johnson (Libertarian) is on the ballot in all 50 states, yet he was denied participation in the debates.

The first nationwide Rasmussen poll taken post the debate says:

Obama 49%
Romney 47%
Other 1%
Undecided 3%

They were essentially even before the debate.

Well I think they were unfair to Obummer, it's obvious to me he was very constipated. I phoned DNC with this idea and they are going to run with it as it is the best they have to date.

Just watched an entire episode of Glenn Beck's show tonight on polls. Bottom line is about 98% of the polling outfits out there today are about as reliable and trustworthy as the mainstream media.

Basically, the dems know they're screwed so they're hoping people are as smart as they are on acid, and will take the polls to heart and stay home ... because Obama is soooooo far ahead that it's all sewn up already.

My point is if we keep spending the way we have been in this country SS wont be much of an issue. Our Govt is way to big our deficit is more than our GDP. What has obama done in the last almost 4 yrs? Even if he wants to blame Bush for why it isn't happening yet, where is his plan for the future or at least the next 4? All I heard was babble and blame. What promises has he kept besides Obama care. Looking back he promised lower fuel prices and blamed the republicans for the high prices. Yet it is double from when he took office, now he says the president has no control. He was going to close Gitmo now he says we need it. We would be out of Iraq and Afghanistan both countries are more unstable than when he took the wheel. Our respect in the middle east is non existent. They laugh at us. His stance on coal only makes the US have even less of a competitive edge. Meanwhile china and other countries will burn the coal without the emission standards we have giving them a larger advantage than they have now. Instead of throwing our money at industries that fail how about putting it into industries that have proven track records. We need more private sector jobs not czars and govt programs. I didn't forget most of the money is yours and mine and my kids. That right there should piss you off. It really gets under my skin knowing what we are leaving our children. I have lived and enjoyed my life already. I worry about what my daughter and your children and everyone Else's children will be inheriting , so far looks like nothing but debt. We need someone who has a backbone and business experience. Romney may not be a perfect candidate be he is far from the empty suit in there now. I lost the last bit of respect for Barry that I had the other night. He can give a planned speech but a debate is the best stage to see the true person. I am not trying to change your beliefs but I just respectfully ask all the voters to study the real person and don't look for perfection, its not there. But look for someone who can make a positive change now we are very close to being out of time. Altitude has nothing to do with his performance if you look before his presidency and his track record. That was the true person.

You may be right but I don't recall him saying much about the price of gas, no Pres. has control over that under our system. Couldn't close Gitmo because they wouldn't allow him to put them in our prison system, can't try them because they have been tortured. Can't do a lot of things without Congress, if Romney gets in you really think the Dems aren't gonna do the same if they can? The Congress would have failed if Obama gets back in & he'll be a lame duck, they will be more worried about their approval rating & getting re-elected & hopefully start doing their job on both sides. Neither side is perfect but I can even do simple math & Romney don't add up. He wasn't a business man he was a Corp. raider & made sure he made money either way, he took a bail out for Bain & the Olympics & then took credit for one & lies about the other. Even hides his money in off shore investments, has interests in China, his big claim is Staples, how many decent full time jobs with HC do they have? Too many questions & no answers, still hasn't produced tax proof.

Are you kidding me Sam? Every single business venture Romney embarked on came from the red and ended in the blue. EVERY ONE. He took the olympics from a poorly run, debt ridden organization to a world class enterprise. He took MA that was billions in debt & left here with a SURPLUS - all with bull-headed democrats at the helm of BOTH houses in state government.

If he could even accomplish one task in this state, that's saying something. We NEED this guy.
