Hi,
I am from NorthWest PA -2 hrs. north of Pittsburgh. This is about 4 1/2 hrs. from West Pittston. Who would you recommend I call for quality rice coal if I were to bring a truck and purchase about 5 tons?

I live in Northeastern NY, I am looking to buy about 4 ton of anthracite coal.. I was just wondering if that amount can be purchased and picked up, as we are not in your delivery area

Can you possibly provide distributers in the NE OHIO region? I'm like these others as I only need smaller quantities for home heating.
Thanks,
Smitty

Anyone out there know where I can purchase coal by the ton in the state of Nevada. There has to be someone out there that sells it but I can't find them.Everyone out in these parts uses pellet burnen stoves but I would think that somewhere in this state theres got to be coal for sale.Any help would be appreciated.

Believe it or not, the best solution, if you live anywhere near a rail line, is to get carload sent to you. Before you finish laughing, if there are any like minded individuals in your area, (say 10 or so), you may want to pinch your pennies (in this case, a lot of pennies) and go in together. You would have at least a 4-5 year supply on hand. I know a group that does this up on the Maine Coast and it has worked out well for them. Other than that, I don't know what you could do.

Be aware this board is dealing with anthracite coal which is mined only in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Bitumionous coal doesn't work nearly as well for home heating.... not even the same ballpark.

The shipping costs would be very high even for a tractor trailer load, at this point in time it may be worth it. Along the same lines of what Iggy suggested get some friends together and have a load shipped. Short of that your going to be out of luck.
