Trouble Removing Coupler From EFM Worm

Hello,

Having trouble removing the coupler from my EFM worm....I do know that the threads are left handed.....Does the coupler thread from both ends or is it permanently fastened on one end....Would heat help? looking for any ideas

The coupler is threaded on both ends. Spray it with some penetrating fluid, and carefully give it a try with a pipe wrench.
