Got the Dwyer Model 25 for draft test. I got 1/4" brake line. Dwyer hose does not fit over it. It will fit inside the brake line. Can I do the test with it like this? Thanks (Den034071) Jack. Please reply!

I have mine fit over a 3/16 inch (quater inch would be 4/16) brake line.. I suppose you could fit the rubber hose in the quarter inch but I would be afraid that the inner diameter of the rubber hose would collapse making it impossible to get any reading let alone an accurate one

Den034071,I have mine in a 1/4"copper tube and so far it's ok but the copper only lasts 2 years, put some silicone over the OD of the hose and stick it in the tube a 1" or so just make it's sealed up.

I just ran automotive vacuum hose all the way out. No need to get all fancy with it - as long as it works. :D ;)

You could get a larger diameter hose and fit it over the outside of both of them. I have clear tubing fit over the Dwyer stock tubing with a ferrule inside to keep the hose open for sure, that goes to 1/4" copper, to a compression fitting I worked into the stack.. I don't even know if the tube is placed in the stack in the best place, but it gives a great arbitrary reading for the most part.

Hey Smitty, is that a Maine coon cat? Great friendly cat breed.

Yeah he is .. on both counts. ;) When we got him we had no idea -- my buddies got him for us for our house-warming gift - FREE! They got him free too!! I think someone's kicking themselves out there today at their missing Coon. They were listed as free in the paper. 8-) Best cat I've ever owned - he's like a dog. Waits by the door for you when you come home, sleeps on your chest all night ( and drools  ) and growls whenever anyone comes to the door. Weighs 21 lbs.
