Coal in CT

Well household coal is closed up :( . Anyone know where to buy coal? I am close to the old saybrook area and would buy three or four tons at a time. I usually burn nut. Thanks for any help you guys can offer.

Bulk the closest I know of is Cranston coal in RI. Bagged you have a few options for delivery.

My suggestion, since all of us are having supply and price issues, is to find a member willing to have a tractor trailer load dumped in their yard and for 10 of us to split the load. Each of us could pay for two tons in advance so that the person doesn't get shafted if someone doesn't show up. And of course, the person accepting the delivery could charge a premium over cost.

$385 a ton? Little steep if you ask me...he's prolly buying it from the guy in Bristol and marking it up, heheh.

Its $358 per 1.2 tons from Blakeslee. Not a killer deal but that comes out to around $300 a ton.

My son in law just picked up my last full pallet I will need for this season at B T in Bristol. Price went up to $360 a pallet for 2400 lbs of bagged Blaschak nut at the end of last week.
