Hi everyone, I made my second trip ever to the UAE Harmony mine in Mt. Carmel today. I got 2.5 ton of nut coal (should have got more). Once again no problems - pull on scale and weigh, got loaded with a skid loader, weigh again and thats it. The nut coal I got is very clean and equally sized, it is a little on the dull side and not overly shiny. I made a small fire tonight like several other nights this season and I have already noticed at least a 50 degree temperature increase over the leftovers I bought last year to get me through the season! It once again seems like very good quality coal!
Very nice!!! I'm planning my 2nd ever trip to UAE Harmony this coming Saturday!!
EDIT : Has anyone noticed that UAE's coal seems to be sized closer to the published specs for Nut coal? I have found that Superior and Blaschak Nut sized coal is sized *way* too big.
YOU cannot break coal way too big! You must by law keep it within a certain spectrum, some break at the lower end of the spectrum and some at the larger end of it.
