Well as yins know..I been burning BIT for a few years now...but not this year.. I bought myself a mobile home and didnt like the Idea of the ol' HITZER 55 add-on furnace sitting in my living room.

So...I found this Englander Wood stove that was in a friends house down the road from me that he left vacant about 5 years ago..I got the stove..the triple wall pipe, floor protector, for $50 this thing is HEAVY, I COULD NOT PASS IT UP. so I will be burning wood. I will be putting ad on craigslist for the hitzer

Congratulations on the home & the stove, your right that would be hard to pass up. There is plenty of wood to be had around here so you'll heat with it instead of coal for awhile, warm is good no matter what you burn.

Congrats! Getting your own place is a good thing. You got a beast of a deal on a beast of a stove. I'm sure it'll do the job.

Lump

CONGRATS! We owned the very same Englander Stove many years ago. It is a BEAST and had a great blower system as well. HUGE firebox. We had no real problems getting overnight burns with it as well. You might want to clean or replace the cat. converter on it. I am sure you will be happy with it. For $50 you can't go wrong! The tiered surface area on the stove provides plenty of room for tossing a pot of chili on the stove. Made many a pot on our stove.

If I lived closer to you I would love to buy your Hitzer.

Congrats again!

No Cat even better!!! Cleaning the cat on the one we had wasn't hard but it wasn't easy either. Now you mention it ours had two air control knobs on the door as well. Same style.. Differant model. Still you got a great wood burner.

Hope you will still hang around NEPA as well. Wouldn't be the same without ya! :D
