Lehigh Anthracite Comments

1) Guys this company was founded in 1820.
2)1960, All deep mines closed, except Lansford. a group of 15 miners who reopened the number 9 mine in lansford, and ran it until 1972.
3)Parent company LCN sold 8000 acres to Fauzio brothers who ran it until 1976, doing 800,000 ton a year by strip mining, they bought it in 1960.
4) 1976-2011 poor management, layoffs, startup, more layoffs again, poor breaker coal quality.
5)2011 new people. Lehigh company major investment, honest people and coal quality has turned upward.
6)My family has burned this since the '50's except for 1976 etc. when we burned jeddo.
7)bottom line is this company survived since 1820. Ask OILman who is a home delievery trucker from Nesquehoning PA.
