Good luck, hope they get you fixed up soon. Our part of Schuylkill County did well so far.

If you are serviced by ppl here is info from themhttps://www.pplelectric.com/my-account/outage-center/outage-map.aspx

There are about a hundred of thousand in Northern VA but just across the river in Maryland and DC there are many, many more. I think it's the river. The same thing happens with snow fall. We get little or nothing while MD and DC get socked. We are down to a wind advisorey. Be safe, Lisa

I think an appropriate question would be, "Who still has power"

I lost power 10/29 at 19:33 I now won't get power back for 2-3 weeks.

Down at 14:05 yesterday. This post powered by Yamaha.

Probably won't be back on for a week. We're just unwashed peasants out here in the rural part of MA.

But Smitty didn't Deval err Obamalite say that he "had a long talk with the electric company's" about this very issue? I feel for you. I am actually very surprised that we didn't lose power around these parts. Hope everything else is ok with you.

Thanks ONEDOLLAR.

We're all good. We take care of ourselves out here. We don't need government - we get along just fine without them. ;)

It's an election year, so Cadillac Deval needs to impress for his party. Same reason Obama was on TV kissing ass.

So far only a few short interuptions in the power. We have snow/rain/sleet, around 33*.
the cars, truck and ground is all covered with 1" of slush.

Numerous trees down on the road, traffic has slowed down some. People drive 40-50mph down this bumpy, washboard
dirt road, and pound the mud into huge potholes.. if they's just slow down the road surface would stay much smoother.

I hear chainsaws off and on.. I'm amazed we still have power, the wind is still gusting over 35mph.

Power barely blinked here. A couple streets over, they weren't so lucky.

No power outage here on the hill for a change. I'm about ready to throw the chainsaw in the back of the truck & take a cruise around Freetown--if our highway super, wasn't such an ass, I wouldn't feel obligated to do that. :(

Out since early last night, Honda EU200i keeps the Alaska 140 running, fridge cold and small electronics running/charged.

Only problem is no water psi, the jet pump has the ability to run on 115v but the little generator just can't give her what she needs.
EU2000 : 2000 watts max. (16.7 amps), 1600 watts rated (13.3 amps) 120-volt AC

Pump is stamped 13/16.8 max draw on 115v, damnit!

Good to research this now and get a solution.

We kept our power as well in Berwick and Montrose . A lot of the Back mountain was out on my way in though.

I was prepared, but as usual, when I prepare for something, nothing happens and TS Sandy appears to be a whole lot of nothing. Just 40 mph winds here and some rain...

We did not lose power at all, and we lose power in anything over a breeze generally (I am one of the last houses in on this road). I had the barn door open all night in case the sheep wanted to come in, but they never did, preferring to ride out what little rain we did get while out in the pasture.

I was kind of disappointed, I was hoping for something spectacular, but I guess they had to report on something other than the election so they touted up this turn-out-to-be-nothing storm.
