I understand that after the hurricane, Fox No News invited Republican Christie to piss on President Obama, but instead Christie said
1. President Obama has been fantastic,
2. He doesn't give a rat's ass about having Romney come to NJ, and
3. Romney's plan to abolish FEMA might be a little stupid.

Even my dog knows you don't bite the hand that feeds you. I think Christy is a good guy, for people to make a deal that he said its great the president stepped in , Or think Obama is so wonderful now that christy praised him is sort of lame. The president is doing what he is supposed to, what is christy gonna do tell him to pound sand????

NJ is going to need a boat load of money or Fed backed loans.
Christie is not going to alienate anybody that holds the purse strings.
His only mistake will be if he lets FEMA take over. He'll regret that day.

You got that one right--FEMA is still screwin around up here from a year ago--

Christy will use his head to get this mess resolved. Hopefully FEMA WON'T get too involved, because even a year past our events last fall in Maine, NH, Vt, and New York are NOT resolved yet. Lots of contractors still waiting....

Oh, here is one hot off the KEEP THIS QUIET NETWORK: Lockheed Martin is laying off 123,000 workers just weeks before Christmas.

This needs to go far and wide before Early Voting starts!!!!

The President is trying to hold off any announcement until after the election. This will make a significant increase to the questionable 7.8 % Unemployment number.

Lockheed is going to lay off 123,000 defense workers due to Obama's downsizing of the military. This hit the Drudge report yesterday. This is true! I checked it on Google

The law requires Lockheed to give 60-day notice to all to-be-fired employees within 60 days. That drop dead date would be November 1st.
Since this would be devastating for his reelection, Obama has promised that our government would cover all Lockheed severance packages to fired employees if Lockheed would not release the names and locations of those losing their jobs until after the election! Do you have any idea how many millions that will cost the taxpayer? Thank you Obama!!

Why is it that few will give Christie credit for knowing that there is no way in hell he could even begin to handle this alone? It's in his nature to be arrogant, he started it with some Mayors & then the sun came up & he was humbled, this isn't the time to be divisive they have no choice as good responsible leaders to work together it's not a time for politics. I give credit to both of them for doing what's right for the state & country.
As for the Lockheed thing if Congress could have come to an agreement it wouldn't be, it could have been settled before taking yet another recess but they choose to leave town & use it for leverage.

What a crock! If you are going to tell whoppers like that, you should be riding on the campaign bus with Willard. First, the downsizing in question is the sequestration ordained by Congress, not by President Obama. Second, President Obama and everyone else with any brains predicts it will not happen -- even Congress is not that stupid. So if Lockheed is notifying workers of a potential layoff, it is because Congress has told them there will be no money for their contracts after December, and legally Lockheed has to go through the motions even if they know Congress is lying.

First, President Obama signed it into law. And if you believe the Woodward book it was him and his advisors that came up with the sequestration idea and pitched it to the congress in negotiations. At best he has a 1/2 part in "ordaining" sequestration by being one of two branches involved in creating and passing the law. At worst it is a bit more than 1/2 his fault because he pitched it as the mechanism to get automatic cuts in the law.

Second, while 123k may not be laid off, 123k would have been given notice of potential layoffs under the law, had Obama not instructed DOL or DOJ or some group to basically tell Lockheed and other defense contractors to break the law and that the administration would cover their legal expenses when they get sued by the unions and employees for failing to follow the law. Just because Obama and others are saying they will not let sequestration happen, doesn't mean it won't actually happen. It is entirely reasonable to act to give notice of potential layoffs, as required by law, due to the impending deep defense cuts represented by sequestration, also on the books in law. It doesn't matter is Obama or congress are lying or not, it matters that the law is on the books, it will come into effect at a date in time and there is another law on the books that says you have to give advanced notice of potential layoffs if you have reasonable expectation they will be necessary.

I have great respect for any man or women that says what they think and means what they say. From what I know of the NJ Gov. he fits that description.

The idea of "sequestration" actually came from the White House.

I give credit to both of them for doing what's right for the state & country.

I give no credit to Obummer at all. During the gulf disaster he did not give a c rap, he did not even visit. Now one week from the election like suddenly he cares. You still have no idea do you Sam.
