Refurbished 520 new install making heat

Just got younger brothers 520 up and running this afternoon. 3rd install within 5 years. I am running a 520 at my place and a 1300 EFM at the truck shop. Special thanks to Steve Wilhelm on refurbishing this 1969 520 boiler. They are very good people to deal with.

It never ceases to amaze me, the simplicity of the design and the rugged construction that has kept these EFM boilers doing just what they were designed to do for over 40 years and many times longer than that.

Nice work! Something I have to know...was that front left return port open or did you have to remove a 45 yr old plug?

Rob, i had to pull it myself. By pull it, i mean twist it off, drill it out, saw it in four pieces and then pull it out, hee hee.

However, two of them that i needed came right out so it wasnt bad. I am really pleased with it, best install i did yet. Phone wont let me put up any more photos or i would, i know you guys love these things as much as me.

Looks like the air is turned all the way up on the stoker? Are you running it right on the pin?

Yeah its up all the way.

I really had her crankin to get the house up to temp but its leveled off now.
