Hello all,
Just fired up my Hyfire II - this is my third season with it and have had no problems until now. However, this year, the coal feed ( as evidenced by the flame) is unequal. The right grate is burning coal right to the edge, and the left grate has 2" of ash. It appears the feeder motors are working properly and look to be moving the plates equally. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

- Hand Fed Coal Stove: Warm Morning 414A
- Coal Size/Type: PEA,NUT,STOVE /ANTHRACITE
- Other Heating: Ground Source Heat Pump and some Solar
More fines collected under the grate of the one w/ 2" of ash.
I'd clean out under them both though.

Thanks McGiever- Did as you suggested - at the same time also adjusted the draft on the power vent, reduced the feed rate, and reduced the combustion blowers- working well now- higher stove temp, even feed on both sides about one inch from the grate on full burn. Probably should have done one at a time to isolate the reason for the problem, but I am glad its working! Thanks again for your help!
