I was being polite about that idiotic philosophy comment. We are a loooooooooog way from a club and draggin' women back to the cave....SOAB, theses folks will never learn. The Rep party better cull out these whack jobs of they won't win a seat for dog catcher. Mitt was absolutely right about the 47%, anyone of normal intelligence knew that to be true, and perhaps we can design a BIG stoker to keep the 'public trough' warm for those who refuse to exert any energy other that run their mouths.

As Freetown says, WN is no Dr Phil, and you can damned sure count on that to always be true. I don't like people who look you in the eye while reaching around your back to insert a shiny blade, thinking you will never notice. The 'Good Ole' Boys Club' took one in the shorts this time; took one for the team; hell, they took it hard from every angle! Smoke and mirrors didn't confuse many people.....and we are ALL sick of the damned pole phone calls....over 140 at my house alone!!!

Can't see the forest, the damned trees are in the way? GFL on that one, 4 more to get it right, but for now, do something, and you know it probably will be wrong, anyway. We like Mitt and his family up here, and I don't have a bad word to say about him.....except I absolutely HATE politics. Anyone order up a new Volt? Can't you see smitty riding in that cute, silent car?.......with a Yamaha Generator on a trailer, plugged into the thing.....almost perpetual motion except for generator fuel stops.....

One last comment: How may billions were spent trying to capture or recapture these political offices? THAT should make us all sit up and think about what it is that we are doing to 'purchase' a buddy in the Leader's seat. :woot:

I have always admired the New Hampshire State Motto: "Live Free Or Die." I've always wanted to visit that state. Now it seems like too many people from Boston have moved there and infiltrated, thus changing the entire character of your beautiful state. Point made. Point proven.

This was a devastating loss, I still can't find the strength to turn on Fox News or listen to conservative talk radio.

If I had to choose a future republican candidate that could win, he would have to be a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. That thought pains me but I have to face reality, social conservatism is dead, and to help keep conservatism alive I must face the fact that we need to compromise on a future candidate.

To all the conservatives: Quit the doom and gloom bullshit (if you are one of the doom-and-gloomers). He has been in office for 4 years already, and you are still alive. There are still some checks-and-balances in government, as the founding fathers saw fit. He can't set a lazer on "make illegal" and target everything you know and love. I hear you on lots of things, believe me. Obama will never take my guns, nor do I think he will honestly get very far trying. I am a big supporter of defense spending. Especially when it comes to outfitting our soldiers with the best gear money can buy. That is money well spent and the profits stay in this country, making their way right back into the economy. Honestly though, the whole "pro-life", anti-sex, anti-birth control thing just has to be dropped. Same thing goes for opposing gay marriage....Who cares what other people do in their own homes? They aren't negatively impacting you in any way. ESPECIALLY if there is ever a hope of seeing a conservative in the white house again.

A person who has his legs amputated is also still alive. I think he would agree that his life was much better with his legs intact. So, in order to win we have to sell out to what the other side wants. Sell our morals, beliefs and the actual definition of who we are as individuals. I don't think so. I can't do it. When you trade your Integrity so you can, "win," you have won nothing and have actually lost everything. If you have no Integrity you have nothing. You are nothing.

I just don't see politics this way at all, too extremist for me. It is ALWAYS a give and take, just like everything else in life, you have to pick your battles. Also, my values don't line up with the republican party lines when it comes to abortion/same sex marriage/birth control, etc. So....of course I think they should drop it. Maybe that means they wouldn't be "republican" anymore and would fall in some independent category, which is fine, but an independent will never make it to the white house. I don't think an all-along-the-party-lines republican will hold office in the near future...unless the dems really screw up picking a candidate next election.

Of course in the, "give and take," as you put it, the conservatives always have to give and the leftists always get to take. That's the leftist version of, "Compromise." Sorry, I don't compromise my core beliefs for anybody for any reason. That's a personal thing. To compromise in order to win, you haven't won anything. It then becomes simply a battle for power, a, "king of the hill, contest. If power is all you want, that makes one side no better than the other. We then retreat into Medieval fiefdoms of little interest groups, a goal that the leftists have worked for in this Country for a Century.

I don't believe personal beliefs such as abortion, birth control or religion should be at the federal level. I feel that it should be at the state level for the birth control and the abortion issue should be between the Dr and patient.
On a side note listening on the radio I heard a very interesting view point for the Latino votes. They are used to socialism and govt supported health care and do not see it as evil as we do. They welcomed that view from Obama. I guess I never looked at it like that. But my feelings are why did they come here if that is what they wanted ? What did they come here looking for. The only thing that I could think of was because the socialism in their country was running out of money. And they have dictators for leadership. Why would they want to vote for it here?

If these personal beliefs shouldn't be expressed at the Federal Level. Then why should those who don't agree with it, have to pay for it? Why should people who find their religious views assaulted by the Federal Government be forced to comply? What about the "-shall not abridge the free exercise there of," clause in the First Amendment? It seems that part is always ignored.
What, I am talking about is compromise of the Founding Principals that made this Country what it is/was. Why should I have to work like a dog for 13 hours a day only to have the result of my sweat and effort, stolen from me by force and handed over to someone else, without my consent? That makes me a slave, not a free, sovereign individual as is stated in the Bill Of Rights and other founding documents. The examples of such tyranny could make a very long list. If someone can't grasp those simple foundational truths, then there is no help for them. We have chosen the growth of Tyranny over the responsibility of being a free society. We have confused the huge difference between freedom and license. Now it's license without the consequences that normally follow it. Someone else pays for it and society pays for it.

I see it. I personally don't like abortion because of a night of stupidity, people need some accountability. I don't want to pay for it. Rape and others that''s surely different. I don't want to pay for someones contraception but its better than paying for someones abortion. Some people should never procreate anyway. I think the Govt spends too much time trying to interfere with the populous just to buy votes with our money. I don't want people to starve but i do expect them to at least try to help themselves.
How is this wrong?
All someone has to do now to win is promise unlimited welfare, free contraception, if that fails we will pay for it to be fixed . Oh yea, undocumented immigrants so what come on in we have everything you need and we can tailor our govt to something you are accustomed to and we still have the ability to borrow money to support all these programs . Think someone running with that platform can win . Oh yes , he just did.
