George W Bush - The last Republican President.

George W Bush - The last Republican President.

PostBy: EarthWindandFire On: Wed Nov 07, 2012 10:13 am

It has become clear, after last nights election results, that the election of a Republican to the office of President of the United States of America is difficult if not impossible from this point on. Quite possibly, George W Bush was the last Republican we will see as President for the foreseeable future for the following reasons and many more that I must leave unmentioned.

1). The death of the "greatest generation" that lived during the Great Depression and World War Two.

2). The rise and growing strength of the Entitlement Society and the mentality that big government is better.

3). The changing demographic which favors democrats and will cause a permanent shift toward liberalism.

4). The movement away from a religious influenced society and erosion of ethical standards and conservatism.

5). A population of low and middle income families that have grown dependent on subsidies and government support.

6). The loss of the traditional american family dynamic, which included a married man and a woman with two children.

I'm not so sure about that......

I'm saying it now. Lets see if this holds true.................

Chris Christie will run in 2016. His alleged no nonsense, calls it how he sees it style may be just what will get him elected.

The people will have had enough and will not take it anymore.

Agreed Rick. Pretty much what I'm going to do behind this "political fiasco" is to continue to live my life within the realm of values, morals & principles that I was raised with & raised my kids with ( an occasional boot in the ass never hurt any one of em) & damn sure speak up on something I don't beleive is right--political correctness be damned. Business as usual!!

Seems as though the country has filled up with misguided uninformed fools who followed and supported the reelected prince of fools on his quest for total ruination of the United States of America.

There will be future R presidents I have no doubt about that.

imho there are the 43% that blindly vote with the left and the 43% that blindly vote with the right. give or take a few % but it is about equal on both sides.

The % that are left are the ones that each side is trying to get the majority of. Its a small percentage of that middle percent that actually vote for the candidates based on qualifications and not on a media produced sound bite. I don't think that small % saw a big enough difference between the two candidates to vote out an incumbent. There will be a future R candidate that is 'TV ready' and slickly packaged that will sway that middle % enough to win.

Besides, if Romney had been elected I don't think there would be much of a difference in the direction of the country than where we are now headed. Wall St would have the same backroom influence as it does now and did under Bush.

Demicans and republicrats.....its the same tune, just a different instrument playing the notes.

The same interests that Wall Street has should be shared by the american people. I see nothing wrong in the collaboration between business and government.

In the famous words of President Calvin Coolidge: " After all, the chief business of the American people is business."

I disagree businesses large and small have had very little confidence with this administration for the past 4yrs but at least we had hope. Now 4 more yrs especially a business relying on how coal is perceived by the general public. Most people have no idea that there is even a difference between anthracite and Bit . Now all they will hear is how dirty it is from the ignorant politicians who need a glass belly button to see daylight. Keep watching the unemployment numbers and the stock market the next couple months. I hope I am wrong I really do.
For now I will move forward and stay as positive as I can

Well Obama says "there has never been a time to be more hopeful", and oh how true that is.

Today (the day after the 2012 election) is no different then it was on this date in 9000 BC...God is sovereign and he reins. My hope has never rested in a single person, even if he is the most powerful person in the world, but my hope rests completely in the Lord!

Some say another 4 Years of Obamaism is God’s way of punishing this country, but the Lord does not work that way. He is loving, gracious and patient. The Lord’s hand is gently cupping this nation because from our inception...an ideal my Great Grandfather died for on top of Bunker Hill, was a nation that was wrought straight from the bible, and as such, is not God's bare hand upon this nations backside because of who we as a nation voted for last night.

God knows we are a nation filled with people with morals and Christian values but have been misguided by wolves in sheeps clothing...

He knows we have never gone to war and taken any acre of land for ourselves, but have scores of lives fighting oppression, fighting injustice, fighting tyrants trying to wipe out his Jewish people. Our wars have never been self-fulfilling, they are for the betterment of the people all around the world...God’s people…everyone.

The outcome of this election may be a surprise to millions of people, but it is not a surprise to God. He has exactly the person he wants in charge of our nation, and like most of this nation, I too voted my hopes; for Mitt Romney, but since God has chosen another leader, my obligation is to trust God and to do as he commanded…just as he commanded the early church who had a far more oppressive government leader…to pray for our leader.

I fear FOR President Obama because it is clear individuals are accountable for their actions unto God…but President Obama? I do not fear him.

I am afraid that 1/2 the country does not what to live under the philosophy that the Left believes in. When the financial crisis hits, which could be worse than the Great Depression, they will take the original Constitution, a number of States, and start all over again as a new country. Think it can't happen? I sure the Soviet Union citizens never thought it would break up either!

It's not at all clear to me. W put the country in the toilet, leading to a Democratic sweep in 2008, and people said it was the end of the GOP, but two short years later W's party captured the House and threatened control of the Senate. People have remarkably short memories and the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, so don't write off either party.
