Hello all,
I'm trying to find a picture of this heater. My grandfather, who has passed away, left me a farm house and it needed a little tlc. He had some WWII buddies from out east and they brought him this Crawford #40 Base Heater Coal Stove. I see it in old pictures in the background, but nothing closeup. That stove disappeared out of that house years ago and I wanted to put one back in, in the original spot. I figured they were common back in the day and it turns out its a very regional east coast stove. I live in Southwest lower Michigan and can't source one, or even a picture of one anywhere. I've spent hours searching google and the internet searching for a picture of a restored Crawford # 40 Base Heater Coal Stove and cannot find it. If anyone knows where one is and could get me a picture it would be greatly appreciated. My father is getting older and will move in with me and this would be a great surprise to have a coal stove like the one he grew up with. Thanks, in advance, for your help with this. I'm looking to buy one that is in restored working condition as I want to heat the great room with it.
