Because he is the Messiah. He is so intelligent.(Even though we don't know his grades) He is eye candy. He smoked pot. Hates white people. Is cool.(see smoking pot) Is black, and ain't it great that we're not racist because we voted for a black guy? Hell, I feel safer already!

Wish I could afford to buy a couple thousand rounds of ammo.

And I think pot should be legalized. Notice the South/Central American countries are up in arms about legalizing pot?

The federal officer advanced pistol course takes about 750 rounds per day times 3 days...times the number of federal armed agents.

There's a HUGE chunk of rounds right there. For example, there are about 20,000 armed Border Patrol agents in the US times 750 rounds times 3 days equals 45,000,000 rounds.

They dont go to the range once a year and fire off a couple strings of bullets to stay qualified. They qualify quarterly at the range and shoot more often than that to stay sharp. That's just one part of one agency within DHS. There are 250,000 federal employees in DHS...a decent chunk of them are armed special agents for various agencies whether it is BP, FPS, SS, etc.

The NOAA (which purchased 46K rounds) has a Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement with 63 armed agents...which all need to regularly qualify and train. Its a whopping 730 rounds per Agent...not exactly a massive amount of ammunition when you consider how often they hit the range.

That link above shows the rounds fired for ALL firearm types at a huge training facility. Let alone Scarborough, Me. And a site for the FBI talked about training with lighter loads(.38 Special instead of .357Magnum)because full defense loads are brutal. It is a massive buy under anybodies standards.

Not true at all, That would be frangible ammo and we are talking about .40 S&W here. It is in no way designed to not go through walls. Customs, Fisheries, and other gov. agencies do not work in domestic environments like the town or city cops. And they do not need anywhere near this amount of ammo. Law enforcement only "qualifies" once a year that I know of. Lets take NM fisheries for instance. They only have a handful of guys literally on the whole coast and Customs does not have more then 50 probably. So why did they send 40 or 50 million rounds into Scarborough, Maine? The Coast Guard does not have enough guys to bring them up to needing this much ammo. The local Navy base where I grew up didnt have a fraction of this in the armory.

Most cities use the 9mm because of its limited power.

All of the govt agencies that have bought this ammo has a law enforcement branch...and in each of those agencies they qualify 3 to 4 times a year....there is no CONSPIRACY here...

It makes sense we order things the same way on a much smaller scale of coarse. We have a lot of standing orders with vendors in much the same way keeps the costs down and manages cash flow.

It's not a matter of trusting the govt. on this matter it's a matter of digging for the reason why the govt. did this...instead of screaming "OMG The sky is falling like chicken little!" :shock:
