Ammo
Just a heads up to fellow ammo "collectors". The stuff is FLYING off the shelves. Hard to find bulk just about anywhere and a lot of sites are on back order. Just ordered more tonight, sending the wife out tomorrow night to find some with her Black Thursday shopping.
Sites that had bulk are running out. Funny how that happens. I wonder what gun sales jumped to?

I'll bet that Obama breaks his record number of gun sales from his 1st term. The NRA's best salesman. I use a .22 for practice, and 7.62x39 for fun. I can't afford one of those fancy black guns, mines a chinese sks, but I can hit a softball from 100 yrds. I guess that'll do it.

We're set up this way too Chris--the only thing I go on line for is my 32 S&W. Kind of a bastard size for my lil hip pistol
I need more .380 since that is the wife's CC gun. I got 500 rounds of 9mm online for around $130 shipped. .45s are out everywhere so the wife will be hitting Walmart tommorrow. Got another 100 round box of 12 gauge as well. I have so many of those it is ridiculous!
After Christmas I will be picking up the .22 assault rifle and thousands of rounds. I am comfortable with the wife having my 6 with a 30 round mag of .22s. Cant miss 30 times! LOL!
The next purchase is a nice AR-15.

Walmart is the cheapest I have found for 22LR.
A box of Federal, 550 rds per box, less than $20 including the tax.
So, I actually got 1,100 rds for less than $40.
Although I guess it depends on how much your local Walmart marks them up.

I'm mainly a traditional muzzleloader anymore but love shooting my other guns too. I stocked up on my muzzleloading supplies a few years ago. I do get the urge to shoot my 45-70 buffalo classic once in a while at an unlucky rabbit. Lots of fun with that gun but $1.50 - $2 every time I pull the trigger. I'm glad its not a semi-auto, lol.
I agree that a 22 is about the best anymore with the cheaper ammo. You will be a lot better of a marksman with a gun you shoot a lot compared to one you cant afford to shoot. I like the Ruger 10-22 with all the add ons you can really make a tack driver. I wish Keltec would make their 30 round 22 Mag pistol available in 22LR.

For the first time last night I want out on Black Friday and picked up a .22 assault rifle I have been eyeing up. It was on sale from 12-3, so we got there pretty early and got it. While I was there I saw a "Bucket o' shells". 1400 for $49.99. Not sure of the quality, but I know where to get them in bulk now at least.
My new family additions. See below.
Does anyone know if I can shoot regular .38 loads from my .357Magnum? I know I can shoot .38Special +P, and I have alot of these, but I don't know about regular .38 loads.

I see no problem shooting the regular 38 special in the LCR as the 38 is the lowest pressure cartridge for that gun.
Pressure from lowest to highest (leaving out the 38 colt loads)
38 special
38 special +P
38 special +P+
.357 magnum

You mean modern sporting rifle or black gun right, LOLRwalker wrote:For the first time last night I want out on Black Friday and picked up a .22 assault rifle I have been eyeing up.
