Yes, strictly for shooting at targets and plinkin' cans. Do not let the look of it scare you...do not panic. :D

That is a heck of a deal. Nice, let us know how it shoots when you get it.

Got it already. Paid $229 at the local shop at 12 am black Friday. Took 15 minutes to do the paper work, then an hour to stand in line and pay for the $2 background check! LOL!!!

Havent shot it yet. Will let you know when I do how it is. I have read good stuff about it, and there is a lot you can do to it, so it is like a transformer...

I thought about that but for a couple dollars more you could have another complete gun. And when can you have too many guns? :D LOL .

At this time I don't have an AR, and already having a 9mm carbine, a .45 carbine, and now the new .22, I am thinking the wife isnt going to allow any $1000+ gun purchases for some time. :P

My next toy is going to be some sort of assault style shot gun. I have a double barrel 1915 Iver Johnson 12 guage and a single shot 20. I need a shot gun that will hold more rounds and fire them rapidly. This is looking promising, however I am finding out it is hard to FIND them...http://www.keltecweapons.com/our-guns/shotguns/ksg/

RW,
Tell the wife that the AR is a investment, not just another gun.

I don't know what I'm going to tell her when I bring home the new shotgun too. The shotgun is a "just something I always wanted"
You can pick up a S & W M & P Sport for way under a grand. Might not be the most fancy black gun out there, but when they get banned again, nobody will care about fancy. Will post a pick when I get the new stuff home.

I do like that Kel-tec shotgun, don't know if I could drop that kind of dough on a shotgun.

I tried that one on her with the Abu Garcia Revo S as well, but she didnt buy it then either. I told her, just think of all the fish I can catch us to eat. She doesnt like to eat fish! :P :D

Actually, the .22 was more for her then me. I need a weapon she could easily handle and not miss with 25 rounds. It was the obvious choice. See how that works... ;)

I cant find anything but shot shells, 300win mag, .270 win, and .223 super short mag whatever the hell that is. This is the first time I have ever not been able to find .22 long rifle anywhere. Iv been on the hunt for some .243 win for a couple weeks now.

Good luck, until everyone has stockpiled all they can afford and then some it will not be available. Let alone have some to practice and have fun with. Strange times indeed. Some would suggest the gov. is buying up all the common stuff and paying them to not make more. I won't go quite that far yet. But them buying millions of rounds of 9mm and 40 S&W is hurting the guys with those calibers. Wish I had kept the equipment to press my own bullets. May have to invest in some molds to cast them for emergency use. Until then, I have some supplies.

Yeah 22lr is hard to get. The few stores around here all they had was 22 birdshot and 22 cb caps. One fishing store last week had 4 or 5 22lr bricks of 500. The price.........$49.95. I was gonna start reloading some brass i have while on furlough but i can't even buy primers.
