Government gone wild!

Government gone wild!

PostBy: lsayre On: Tue Nov 20, 2012 8:44 pm

And now for something completely different.

I quote:

"Proposed law scheduled for a vote next week originally increased Americans' e-mail privacy. Then law enforcement complained. Now it increases government access to e-mail and other digital files."

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-57552 ... &tag=title

Just how does a law intended to increase privacy morph into a law that decreases privacy before the voting in Congress begins? Has Congress lost its mind?

Yes. They could round up trouble makers such as myself and indefinitely detain them without charges in those black sites Obama promised to close.

Doesn't The Congress, The House or any part of the government need to have a mind in order to lose it in the first place? As far as I knew none of them had/have half a brain to share amongst each other. So, there was nothing there to lose. They are just that ridiculously stupid.

Proof positive that the principle that collective wisdom arises from a pool of individual ignorance is seriously flawed (OK, flat out impossible).

Leahy scuttles his warrantless e-mail surveillance bill

http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-57552 ... ance-bill/

Leahy's about-face comes in response to a deluge of criticism today, including the American Civil Liberties Union saying that warrants should be required, and the conservative group FreedomWorks launching a petition to Congress -- with more than 2,300 messages sent so far -- titled: "Tell Congress: Stay Out of My Email!"

They apparently are reading someone's messages. ;)
