Mainer's Meal!

Just whipped up some baked beans with dear sausage mixed in, some red hot dogs and homemade rolls with coleslaw and tater salad. Usually a Saturday night tradition, but my boys couldn't wait for the weekend!

I sure hope the wind blows out of the south this weekend !!!!

I'm not sure about the wind direction but that meal sounds mighty fine to me . Have you ever tried bean hole beans they are even better ?

......and I thought that 'blue fog' was a natural occurrence........ Burns the eyes even down here!!! Not a good day for a 'sea breeze'. Are the birds falling from the sky when they fly through that plume?????

They are the BEST of course! Damn hard to cook them this time of year though! This coming summer my brother and I are going to build a permanent pit to cook them in and it also will second as a pork pit as well!

It was a rough trip for Santa...he left here full of beans and biscuits!

When I lived in Milford Me. as a child there was a guy on the road to bradley who sold bean hole beans every Saturday and they were so good, my parents would get them quite often . I would love to have his recipe and just how he did it , I would put in a pit also .
