When I was in the Navy I really hated the Holidays, they hurt so much. My heart goes out to all branches of our armed services, and also those men and women serving in the various Government agencies that are deployed overseas and all others without family this Thanksgiving day.

There is nothing in the world that I now (or ever) wanted that is worth that torture, they are nuts. Give me the country views, the smell of horse manure, a humble thxgivn dinner and of course a coal fire.

No birds had to die for our thanksgiving dinner. French onion soup is in the crock pot. A standing rib roast, aka “prime rib” is warming up to go in the oven in the next hour.
