Well stated! Americans are individually well known for their amazing levels of generosity. They don't need manipulation by government, which is merely a major hindrance to individual generosity. Such as the hindrance of direct taxation that I mentioned in a different thread, without which many of us would and could be individually free to be far more generous. But forcing small to large businesses and corporations to be generous merely leads them to profit loss and to cutbacks and job loss and economic downturns and the like as a result. We must stop looking at small business owners and on up to corporations as altruistic cash cows willing for the slaughter, and reflect upon our own freedom to act with generosity (or not) instead.

well

I'm not trying to go either way on this thing but I will say this. It is entirely possible other countries have offered aid. whether the US accepts that aid is again not always "known" either.

Here is the info from Katrina though in known offerings from other countries.

The US refuses most if not all foreign aid 99% of the time... that is and has been the policy...

Don't give in. Hang in there!!!

Have you ever talked to the general public? Face to face? They aren't that bright.

Talking to the general public face to face can not establish the idiocracy of an entire U.S. population; only that of a single person. Establishing your statement would in fact require a much larger percentage sample of the roughly 314+ million in this country.

I worked half my life in retail, in several different states. I think that was a pretty good sample.

Never mind trying to talk politics and theory of government with them while trying to get signatures to get myself and Ron Paul on the ballot.

That's when the stupid comes out by the bucket!

Just like in the forum, just because they don't believe as you doesn't make them stupid, in reality you don't change much of someones religion or political views, if it changes it's because they want it not because of what someone says. As I have often said if you answer a question it's just that "an answer" even if you don't agree & it wasn't what you wanted to hear it is still an answer.
Your statement is that you are the only smart one & everyone that doesn't agree & sign is therefor stupid. That's just plain stupid.

If that's what you are getting on your end, you should probably adjust your monitor.
