that amazingly includes the battery.

Yeah, but that is like the lifetime subscription I got on my Sirius radio. It is the lifetime of the radio!!!! ;) Which was short. You will find that is the lifetime of the battery, whenever it stops working, or they will "prorate" it and charge you the difference.

Well that's not what my local Ridgid authorized service center told me. They said if the battery doesn't hold a charge, it's defective and they give me a new replacement. No charge. The battery holder case may be refurbished but the batteries inside are new. I have no reason to doubt what they told me, the service center is a repair center for many brands and they are independently owned.

On the Rigid Battery Warranty. Never knew that.

But I will say this. I have Rigid 18Volt Drill that is 7 Years old.

The batteries are still orginal and still hold charge quite well.

I can't say as much for a Dewalt drill I have (that is the same age).

I don't know... I have been impressed with Rigid tools I have.

You are right Rigid tools have lifetime warrenty. I have a 18v lithiun ion cordless drill. two years old, have had both batteries replaced once. They are not holding charge again, so more replacements are in order. Not a big deal take them to the service center, and get new ones. Just the inconvience though. These Lithium Ions are junk, wish I would have just bought the regular batteries

I just do not understand Black Friday because it is just not me.

I greatly detest shopping anyway, do Christmas shopping for me is waiting until the last minute, going to a store, knowing exactly what I am going to get, making a bee-line for it, making a secondary bee-line for the register, and then going home!

It is sad, but at 38 years old, I hate leaving the house anymore.

Nosmoke, I'm like you. At 35 if I don't have to leave the house I won't. I like being home.

I hear ya NS. I'm 57 and also live in Maine. It's a kind of unspoken deal around here that during the winter, we are at home and we have the burst pipes to prove it. ;) Oh course in summer there there is the garden to tend and home maint.etc.etc... Ha,ha,ha...Besides that, I despise the commercialization of the Holidays. Madison Ave.have turned every holiday into a commercial endeavor and brainwashed children and their parents) into thinking it's spent by spending.
