I'm referring to a degree of humility & teachability. If you had anything to teach other then how to debate poorly, I'd be all ears. But you don't.

Debt free? Learning a new trade? On the couch? To what are you referring?

If you had a $50 gold Eagle, would you take $50 one dollar bills for it or $1700?

Sam, the modern $50 US Gold Buffalo coin (one Troy ounce of pure gold) is not gone (as it is current issue and in production to this very day), so lets look at that one instead. How much will your government charge you for one. Can you buy it from your own government at its US Federal Mint face value of $50, or would they perhaps charge you $1,750 for it? Please answer without going off on a tangent this time.

I'm extremely teachable. Made the Dean's List every semester so far with a 3.98 GPA. I love learning new things.

If I thought you could teach me something, I'd listen.

Maybe if you were open to the possibility that YOU haven't got it all figured out, you'd worry less about the messenger and more about the message.

I was more referring to the common sense aspect of living life, not the book aspect of reading about it.

Seeing as you know nothing about me or my life other than what I tell you here, I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest your ego is of considerable size.

Forget it boys, you had Sam clobbered way back when he made this remark.
You want yesterdays dollar for today's work with all the advancements that many others before us fought & toiled for.
After that he just whined about it being gone and did not listen to anything you said. What he really means is the Socialist he supports can't ruin the economy with a gold standard in place, and he knows it. You missed his dig about 10 hr. days for a buck. That was a shot about unions, which did not get the day reduced to 8 hrs. like they want you to think. Businesses went to it before unions came about. And you don't have to go back to his grandfather unless he is younger then he makes out to be. The workers on the new Naval Base in Cutler, ME in 1960 came from far and wide to earn a buck and hour.

Kevin

Useless to talk to him, he is a shill/troll. I know, I know, you just love to debate him!

My point exactly, in one post you state that I am not ego driven at all, in this one you state my ego is of considerable size. This inconsistency in your thinking would make any or all of your posts moot. I actually know of plenty"you's" :(

I told you, I give what I get. If you'd like to make baseless accusations, I think you should be ready to receive a few.

If the government mints US 1 Troy ounce gold coins and stamps a face value of $50 upon them, are they "trying to use them both ways"?

The Buffalo coin is listed as a gold bullion investment coin & you will pay a fluctuating price for it, IT'S a COLLECTION or INVESTMENT coin, what part don't you understand? If you were one tenth as smart as you put on to be you would be sitting on a pot of gold that you bought when the price was down. Only a fool buys high & hopes to sell even higher, it may happen & then again it may not but in the meantime your monet isn't doing anything. The name of the game is to buy low & sell high.

Klook there you go again, always saying what I really mean when I write something even though it isn't what I wrote but you never answer a question & instead just leave. Why not you just answer everything for me & I'll just sit back, read & laugh since you must be having two sided conversations in your head anyway.

I never leave Sam, I just refuse to have a conversation with a shill/troll. You argue in circles. Blame Bush, wrap yourself in the flag, etc. Old hat. I just let Jpete and Isayre go at it, they have more patience with your inane banter.

Klook, by leave that's exactly what I meant (then again you knew that) you leave the conversation rather than answer a question.
