Barometric damper size.

Would it make any difference if I used a 8inch barometric damper on a 6 inch stove pipe on my newer Harman Mark? I happened to have one that I use to have on my Vermont Castings Vigilant coal conversion stove, which I did not need. Thanx, George

What is your chimney inside dimension(s)?

Size of insulated chimney 6 inch by 15 feet

With the chimney being only 15' high, I'd be surprised if you needed a baro at all.

Our home is located half way down a sandstone bluff. The wind we get is roughly from the Northwest and North were it can be very windy. Wind from the East, we do not feel, except 50 feet up aboved the house. The class A chimney is on the Eastern portion of our home, but centralize in the dinning room. A Resolute wood burner worked good, but I had trouble with a strong draft when the North winds blow. A Manuel damper fixed that. The coal stove would also use this chimney. Wood stove disconnected.
