Ed, I guess you only check back a day or two, try when the recession started. I've been in one before & it always takes much longer to come out than climb in, just like going off a cliff, fast down but slow up.

Sam - you missed Ed's total point -- This presidents ENTIRE campaign was built upon CLASS WARFARE! The rich are "bad", remember? So why is it suddenly ok for him to WASTE millions of taxpayer dollars on trips I'll probably never be able to afford in my lifetime??? :gee:

What, only going for 20 days that is a sacrifice, just because none of us can afford it do you think him & or all the rest in the houses shouldn't take a vacation? What do you all have against the rich? Just because they are rich you don't want them to vacation on our dime, why are you too lazy to go out & earn a vacation for yourselves or get a job where the public pays for it? Why do you hate the rich?

I don't think its anything about hating the rich. If your job can afford to leave someone go on vacation for 20 days they must not be to important. With everything going on right now he should be here. I would bet Romney would be locked in a room with congress till a plan was made. But I guess we will never know we are stuck with 4 more years of NOBAMA .

this is the public sector not the private sector, and has nothing to do with being rich. when i vote for a politcian i do not do so thinking he/she should be loafing on my dime. i expect them to do the job they were kissing my butt to get. with all the problems in this world at this time i would expect our so called leaders to be in the office, doing something. do the job you were elected to do and then maybe, we the people will not be so up in arms about your being lazy and worthless. bop2

So as long as I'm thinking about work while I'm surfing, I should not be considered on vacation?

Just for the record the current congress (Senate and House) has been the least productive in history...what makes you think the are working on their vacation! :P

I didn't say Congress, the current Congress does very little work when in session yet alone when out. They did however manage to find time to vote against the same thing over 30 times thinking that maybe this time will be different. Then again maybe there wasn't anything else to do but drink bottled water & vote on the same thing over & over. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/02 ... s-million/ Care to figure out how many days they are in session & how many bottles they would have to drink?
