Democrats have been in power here for over 40 years and it shows. Not one bond issue has ever failed, yet the state cannot figure out why there are such short falls. It is pretty easy for me, I read the fine print on the cost of the bonds we as Mainer's so flippantly pass and it is no wonder. I guess people have never heard of compound interest and what it costs a borrower in the end; if they did they would not pass these silly bond packages that create 800...yes a whole whopping 800 jobs for the multi-millions of dollars it costs us of in bonds.
As one guy told me at the beginning of the recession; it is no big deal, Maine is always in a recession. I guess that is true, but the key is, I know why?

Cohen is a great example; but considering the attitude and temperature of this state politically, it really is survival. So while I think many of them are very mild conservatives (Collins for instance), I know they have to be moderate in order to get re-elected, but it beats the alternative candidates I guess.
I surely will not vote for our Governor again though!

Why?? Because he tells the truth? Funny how stark it is when a non politician gets elected. I would vote for him again if I was in Maine just piss off the liberal that move in with their utopian dreams.
