I paid a visit to The Home Depot this evening to pick up some material for a project. While in the electrical aisle, I saw a foreign-born fellow asking an employee for assistance. The customer seemed quite frustrated and irate as he screamed at the employee what sounded like: "SLICED HAM and PIG, SLICED HAM and PIG!!!"

The employee told the man quite aplologetically that he did'nt understand him. The customer left only to return a short while later holding two objects, one in each hand. He showed them to the employee and berated the poor guy in a foreign language.

It turned out that when the customer was saying: SLICED HAM and PIG,

what he was trying to say was: SLEDGE HAMMER and PICK !

I've seen people berate non english speaking people on larger multi national forums for butchering the English language and frankly I have found them to be idiots themselves. Learning a second language is no easy task. On the other hand anyone who doesn't speak English natively should certainly not expect everyone to understand them.

Use Matthaus' therapy, surround yourself with 8-10 coal stoves, many tons of coal, and have fun all day!!
