Hello,

I was traveling from Stanwood, Washington back to Mystic, Connecticut. The altenator bit the dust and it isn't a standard one. It has a vacuum pump built into it. I need to hook up with a auto electric rebuilder pronto. I just landed in a service plaza off the Ohio turnpike and have limited time before they give me trouble. Might have to hold up a few days to get repairs done and on my way. I've been sleepin in the truck along the way for the last week. I'll pm my cell to anyone who might want to take on a traveler.

LUV truck :?: I did not think they still existed :P Looks in greta shape on the outside, boy you like to travel on the wild side with vintage hardware.

Got a new battery in the middle of the night. I found a person who might be able to rebuild the altinator....maybe .....haven't talked to them yet. Found them in the internet yellow pages. Had a visit from Ohio's finest last night. They ran my license and what can I say, I'm still here. The officer was very nice. He was genuinely concerned about my well being. I assured him I have everything I need except a working altinator. After a bit to eat I'm going to put the new battery in and then call the mechanic to see if he can do the rebuild to sure before I move it on out.

I don't know where your heads at Fred. I did even think to look if it WAS a cow. Somehow I doubt it. Check it out Fred....and let me know. If you need a more precise address let me know. I'll hook you up.

Yeah, ya think. I thought for sure one of my Conn bruthers would make the 600 mile drive to hold my hand though this.

Time to get off the internet. Just found a altenator rebuilder in Cleveland with 40 years experience.
