M.A.D.D activism and consequential laws cut the alcohol related highway deaths in half. They did this feat not by banning alcohol, but instead by taking the" coolness, thing to do, it is ok to drive drunk, socially accepted" mentality out of it, and made driving drunk a social stigma. drunk driving are now considered not cool. drinker wants to drink, do it at home, take a taxi, acceptable and responsible. Gun control. cannot take away the boys toys, so make the gun issue, ownership, especially of vast amount of firepower, un cool. Get schools to show autopsies of bodies with bullets in them, blood, shattered bones, DEATH. that is what guns represent, and only when we show next generations that the out dated gun mentality is ridiculous and dangerous, will America lose it's reputation as a gun crazy nation. emphasis on crazy.

guns arnt cool?? but 500 different kill-em "games" are???? lets see: guns have been around for ? 500 yrs? give or take...
x box & others ?15 yrs? the generation of this maddness of killing with guns in mass settings due to empowerment of weapons is congruent with the games not the ole chineeze gunpower.....
why not show em pics of lazy kids with over grown yards and under shoveled walkways and piles of dishes and laundry and pages of un-done homework after hours of no sleep......and see if they stop playing stupid frikin games and become real men and women!!!

Autopsy on the twenty children showed that each child ages from 5 to 7 years old were hit with three to eleven bullets each.

All of the bullets recovered from the bodies shot by Adam Lanza was shot by him using a Bushmaster .223 semi-automatic rifle at close range to kill children and adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on Friday.

The weapons that police recovered from the scene included a Glock 9-mm handgun, a Sig Sauer 9-mm handgun and a Bushmaster rifle. Police also found .223 shell casings. Lanza was wearing a bullet-proof vest.

Based on the Sandy Hook school directory, all the kids killed were in the first grade and were in two classrooms.

In one class, 15 of the 16 students listed were killed. In the other class, five of the 16 students died along with their teacher, Victoria Soto. Also, nine of the deceased students have siblings in the school.

All six adults killed at the school were women. Of the 20 children who were shot to death, eight were boys and 12 were girls. All the children were ages 6 or 7.

The latest report I heard is that the gun in the car was one of those street sweepers with drum magazine.

A report on the mother and why so many guns is that she was concerned about the direction society was going in and wanted protection. How true this all is I don't know given how inaccurate much of the reporting has been.

I will pray for them all. So Sad

Sounds like a new world record.

I don't think it would take too long to determine cause of death in these cases.

I have to agree that there seems to be a direct correlation to violent video games and ability of those who play them to reproduce that in the real world. It is a continuation of what this Lt.Col. book speaks about. I read this many years ago and it was an interesting read. It shows statistics on how, as we've made it "easier" to kill with weaponry, the percentage of individuals willing to do so has climbed. There is a particularly chilling part where a police man in a hallway engages an armed youth (who was a violent vid gamer) and how cool and deadly the youth was , as if playing a game where he couldn't be actually hurt.

I feel that is a large part of the issues. We have a new parenting society that is either very lazy or over extended not sure which or both. But the solution is to give the kid Prozac and sit them in front of the T.V. . These video games any more have become so realistic to a person of questionable mental capacity it may be hard for them to know the difference .

Yeah I don't think it's the games alone .... but mixed with a dose of Prozac or Ritalin I believe things change. It's unreal what they give kids nowadays. Every other week it seems there's a new "disorder" to "treat" ...
