Are we experiencing another non-winter?

Where I live it's shaping up to be a repeat of last year. Will this be another non-winter for the record books?

God only knows what is in store for us...all i know is it is a mere 10 degrees here and we have a few inches of snow on the ground...wishing for more snow! Coal heat would be the best CHRISTMAS present for me this year! ;)

Careful what you wish for. It's coming. It's only mid December. At least most of us on the good ol coal forum are ready for it.

I don't pretend to know what God is planning, but I can watch what happens in the past and look for patterns that repeat themselves and one that does repeat itself is winters coming in pairs. If that is the case, then we are due for another non-winter.

I'm not too far from Lake Erie on the Pa.-Ohio line & it's been mild as last year or perhaps a little warmer with just a couple of light snows. If this keeps up I may be losing some plants again, they start setting buds & then freeze again & again. Good for the heating bill for many but there are some strange weeds & insects that I hadn't seen before.

Looking at the weather channel their calling for a mild winter. I'm hoping for colder weather to see how my investment will perform.

There is that global warming thing to think about.

Few years and there might not be a thing such as snow.

Too soon to tell...but I admit it has been mild so far. The last 4-5 winters we have always gotten an extreme cold/windy day between Xmas and New Years...seems like that is when we really "turn the corner".

We can only hope! Now if there was a force of nature that would remove this useless state government I have to deal with, then I'll be sittin' pretty.
