Hello Axemen,
After a week end away I came home to find that a bad noise and after some
exploratory surgery found that my fan had shed a blade and the sleeve
bearings and shaft had taken a beating. Made a new shaft and found
some hardware store bearing and it seems like it will make it through
the night. Any suggestions on the quickest way to get a fan and set up fan box
or at least a fan and sleeve bearings.
Thanks,
Frank

IIRC, the fan is balanced on the shaft as an assembly.

Frank, keep a few spare parts, because Mr Murphy says that failure will occur on a Friday night, in a blizzard, when the power goes out, and it is a Holiday weekend...and you will play hell trying to get the old one off anyway
Maybe on a REALLY lucky day...but I like to replace the assembly.
