Does anyone have a recommendation on dealers that STOCK Harman parts?

I have found plenty that will ORDER them from Harman for us, but Harman wants to absolutely kill us on shipping and handling.

Ah, I just love that company.

Most Harman dealers stock only the most basic of parts. All else must be ordered. What are you loooking for? I'd be willing to make some calls to the best Harman dealer in my area for you. I see you are in Alaska so I'm sure that explains some of the shipping costs.

No, being in Alaska doesn't explain $110 shipping costs on 3 items, weighing less than 3 lbs, and would all fit together in a 12"x12"x6" box.

We do about 70% of our shopping by mail.

USPS, FedEx Home, and UPS Ground would all charge less than $20 for a package like that, to our address, coming from the East Coast.

I need the two metal pieces of the door handle assembly, and was thinking of a new ash pan, I've got the part numbers around here somewhere - if you could give me the name of your dealer I'd appreciate it.

I'll call him, I don't want to put you to any trouble.

Thanks for your help.

You might also try Hoffmans in Halifax PA. They are the same town where the Harmans are made.

I just talked with Hoffmans, great people. They have everything in stock, and I'm going to talk with their warehouse person tomorrow to go through our shipping options to get the parts here.

You probably just saved us $90.

Thanks again.
