While adding an electrical circuit I discovered this. The photo is the main forced hot air duct in the floor of my home. The location is under the LP furnace. The plumbing is from the air conditioner unit. As you can see the installer just cut through the duct and floor to install the plumbing. Then insulated and stapled the vapor barrier to conceal it. It's a 10 year old modular I bought last summer. I also found that some of the ducts that travel from the main to the registers were never connected.

just before I saw the sign, I saw steam/smoke rising from a snow patchy field. I told my brother about the passage in Bill Bryson's "A Walk in the woods" where he hikes the Appalachian trail and calls the PA segment the "most desolate place in the world" and describes the fires.

then around the next corner I saw the sign. Had to stop.

I've got a couple more if I can find them.

That's my fearless Senator promising 200k jobs for the state of NY if elected...care to guess what the real number was? hint... Start with a minus sign instead. The outrageously liberal state of NY just can't understand why biz is leaving in droves when all they are doing is increasing their taxes (and regulation) every year

1,215 U.S. servicemembers from all over Iraq re-enlisted during a ceremony in the Al Faw Palace rotunda at Camp Victrory in Baghdad, July 4, 2008. Multinational Force-Iraq Commander Army Gen. David Petraeus led the ceremony. Photo by MNF-I Public Affairs

(Funny/Cool Pictures was disappearing so I figured I'd find it and bump it to the front with one really cool picture!!!)

Many decades ago,, I was returning home from a freight-hauling flight in a light twin-engine aircraft [Piper Navajo].. It was VFR, beautiful day,, and I decided to 'buzz' my parents house... Mom was working,,but Dad was home ... Well I did a great buzz job... Problem was is that I didn't know the extent that my Dad had many left-over fears/reactions/instincts from WWII... He was in the 'Battle of the Bulge' in the Ardens [forest overrun by the Germans].

Anyway when I got home that night,, I had a lot of apologizing to do,, Dad wouldn't talk to me, damn near tossed me out of the house,, I had to console everyone even the dogs.. they had gone berserk... OH well live and learn,,, that was my last 'buzz job'..
