As the title "Thoughtful and Intelligent Debates" implies we want quality discussion in this forum. If you're going to post a new topic or reply to one here please make sure it fits the following guidelines.
Clear and descriptive title for your topic.
You don't need to write a book but please have a reasonable amount of material to support or dispute what you are discussing.
Outside references to material to support or dispute your argument can be used but they should not wholly make up your argument. If for example you reference a news article please explain exactly what you are referencing and why.
Stay on topic, while topics will wander in the general forums we want to keep them strictly on topic in this forum. Flaming will not be tolerated at all.
Just read through part 4 at least. I broke out laughing so many times I had to start reading it to my wife. I think we will be buying a house after all. Maybe 2 because ownership will be the only thing tangible in the future.

I see Americans as needing to be totally self-sufficient. Meaning, they will need to grow their own fruits and vegtables and slaughter their own meat. We may still have nice things like running water and electricity, but stores will be slim pickings and gas may be impossible to get. Now, if we had someone with some balls that would drill like hell here in the states, we could solve that issue for at least the next 100 or so years, but so far no one wants to do that.
But still a democracy...in some SENSE of the word.
