What"s going on in this country?

Depravity is nothing new, I think perhaps we're now more hyper-sensitive and with new media things happen and reported at previously unheard of speed, as well as unconfirmed reports.

I read the other day that more people are killed in Chicago every week than Newtown. Granted most of them are gang bangers and thugs etc..but none the less, people there are actually numb to it as are most everyone, except of course the victims of Newtown being small children.

Then again that reminds me, 20 children died in Waco at the hands of our goverment, 4 unarmed students were shot dead at Kent State, 13yr old Sam Weaver (in the back) and his mom Victoria (in the head) were both gunned down in Idaho.

So what I get from all this is, it's OK if the Gub'mnt is doing the shooting nobody is calling for them to hand in their weapons.

Sam. my Brother is professional fire fighter and we discussed this after dinner, this really is nothing new. The fact is they get shot at a lot.

you all think the news media caused this to happen ...... this asshat is now famous because of this ....

has anybody given this some thought??? the further we drift from GOD the worse it gets....soooo get ur lazy ass out of bed and take/drag the rest of the family back to church/GOD...it used to work pretty good...merry christmas everyone...

Richard, I know it's no new in some areas, back near & in Pittsburgh there are a lot of neighborhoods where both fire & EMS have to wait for police escorts & since even that has died out (most likely because of the escorts). What struck me as unusual was it being mostly a resort type area with volunteer fire, it's not like the demented mind is somehow getting back at the evil Gov., these guys could be friends & neighbors, next they will be hitting churches during mass or some other thing, it's the demented mind more than anything else IMO.

Jpete is right...he should never have been freed from prison. Period! ....its unbelievable you can MURDER your own grandmother...with a hammer no less...and only do 17 years. ???
...he lived with his mother and his sister ( the mother passed away in October)... the sister could not stand him...hmmm wonder why?? I am all for gun ownership... the how did this wack job get one?... Cuomo's going to eat this 1 up.... you watch.
.... this all happened about 45 minutes from my house btw....my heart goes out to the victims and their families...

the problem I have with religion is that the church does not preach god anymore...... all they ask for is $$$$$$$$ and they hide the child molesters and there more corrupt than you and me

Religion is not needed to teach morals and ethics. It helps but not necessary.
