The storm is on it's way,, here in SE michigan, i'm up north enough that i'm near the 6"-10" estimated range.. At 8am we have about 6", and it's still coming down at a pretty good rate..
I slogged through the snow to check on the AA260, I swear it smiled at me.. it loves to work..
it's been pretty warm so the ashpan wasn't even a 1/4 full, I left it till the evening.

My tall and leggy German Shepherd thinks the white stuff is a play toy, just for him. And he makes a game of snow shoveling,, he barks 'till I toss a scoopfull at him, he dodges most of the time.. once in a while he gets knocked over by the scoop of snow.. great fun for him..

Looks like a winter storm worth having a name..

Gonna be a decent storm but a weird one. The temps really feel like it's too cold to snow if that makes any sense. Don't usually have single digits with well below zero windchills and get dumped on with allot of snow but that's just what it's shaping up to be. At least the snow will be easier to throw and not dense wet stuff.
I'm all set here and my freezer is full of stuff. Feel bad for the old folks with oil heat who's furnaces quit.

That southern storm will bring up some warm air, then it's supposed to collide with the other storm coming from Greg's place, then spin & stall out over the ocean in typical Nor'easter fashion. We'll see if that actually happens or not ... but that's what the weather guys have been sayin for a few days now.

yep thats the formula Smitty. I was looking at the radar and you can see them both. Just a matter of where they meet I'd say far as I'm concerned. It's looking bit like south of me a hair for the worst of it. Maybe Portland area which will include Boston. I think we'll still get couple feet or close to it here. Won't be that heavy crap though but it will blow around.

I stuck a big old rack of pork ribs in the cookstove a couple hours ago. They were in fridge with a rub on em for a day and now got sauce slathered on. Pot of bacon and beans baking in there too since last night. Just make me some slaw and we'll be having a barbique over here for the storm. :D

Hopefully they meet over Boston. That place is in desperate need of a "cleansing" anyway.

It is just like going to hunting camp I always figured fred. Just make and adventure out of it and enjoy the simple things.

Yeah it's blowing up a big one as I type. I'm loving it though. Like a snow day when we was kids! Both stoves cracking along and drinking coffee and chillin.
Last night I filled the tub just in case and about 3am I hear a splash, spash, and scampering. My young lad Meryl had is first bath  Playing round with a scrubber, he fell into the old clawfoot! Spent the remainder of the night next to the stove I'd imagine. ;)
Anyways we're into the thick of it right now. Not so bad's down Portland but we'll see come early evening when it stops blowing. I got a gust of 53mph on the clock. snowin sidways.

Just called my brother in Dover, NH and then by brother in law in Wells, ME. They said that they've both got about 30" on the ground now and it's still snowing!

It has been snowing hard here all morning in the Houlton area , so much for 4-6 inches as we have at least that much already and drifting real bad .
